Re: OOM Issue?
P3D v3 has made a lot of changes that significantly reduce the VAS usage. I am still only running 2.5 at the moment, but the only aircraft that causes OOM crashes is the PMDG 777 - arriving or departing. I have departed successfully with the PMDG 737 going to Florida with no problems. Turn down the ...

Re: P3D V3.3 Texture
Just looking for any updates as P3D is now at V3.5. Any changes with the latest versions on these side effects?

Re: Fix Toronto
Guys, it's not just FTCYYZ that is the issue - Toronto area in general with the default scenery is also quite heavy on a machine. Sadly, it's something we have to live with. They have already provided customized options for display, plus light texture packs. What more can they possibly do?

Re: OOM before airport fully loads P3D 2.5
Ok, so you're having a bit more issue than I am. I stripped down CYYZ to it's essentials, and made some scenery adjustments in the sim. I have reduced the frequency of OOM beeps, and "messing around" the airport seems to be ok now. Flying in from an 8 hour journey may be a different story ...

Re: OOM before airport fully loads P3D 2.5
I agree....getting poor behaviour with CYYZ on P3D. Was flying in PMDG 777 from EHAM to CYYZ, and as soon as I descended into the GTA area, windows started making "boobeep" sounds every 30 seconds or so until P3D crashed. Also, I had scenery complexity reduced to minimum - it did help FPS,...

I can confirm on my setup I am also seeing the same thing. I just installed CYYZ to test.

I don't have it installed in P3D, but just running down my list of thoughts...
Check your CYYZ Configurator tool to ensure this setting is turned on.
Install the latest libraries from FT for FSX/P3D.
Check your P3D Graphics settings to ensure they are high enough to display the graphics.

Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
I am a little confused....I put a bgl file in my cyyz scenery but I don't see anything. What exactly is this file supposed to do? I was anticipating seeing AI aircraft in RW colours on the ramp.

Re: Blurry Ground/Taxi Lines
Thank you Martin. Yes, overall the risk of flickering is far preferable. I have not seen any artefacts as a result. Constantly watching lines and skid marks and runway markings appear in front of your aircraft's nose while taxiing is not only immersion breaking, but very annoying too. The "LOD ...

Re: Blurry Ground/Taxi Lines
Just as an update, this is what troubleshooting I have tried to no avail. The ONLY thing that helped with the taxi lines was the proposed file above - now I see them all the way down the line. With that, the runway lines still exhibit the same behaviour. -resetting my stock fsx.cfg -adjusting NVIDIA...

Re: fps are killing me
Hey, how's it going? Take a look at your setup. I have an i7-950 OC to 3.8 GHZ and a GTX660 factory clock with with tweaks to my fsx.cfg. I am getting apaarox 10-12 FPS on approach and on the ground (exactly what I would have expected). With your setup, you should be considerably more than mine. Per...

Re: Rwy lights at daytime with fog
CYYZ was built using different techniques. Like you said, it was explained in the manual!
