It appears that the installer won't let you select a folder outside of the main P3D v4 folder.

The recompilation of the Installer for V4 is the simplest thing to do, its often just a matter of adding a single line of code so it reads the V4 registry key (Setup-Path). Just having a recompiled Installer that "seems" V4 aware, does not tell you anything about the actual Addon content ...

What led you to believe there would be updates for it? It's been a legacy product for quite some time and clearly stated so on the website.

Just got word from Shez that the future of Sun Sky Jet is uncertain because one half (I suppose he's referring to Ian) is innactive. Perhaps FlyTampa could reach out and offer to finish DTW and bring PHL to P3D for them?

I don't think that new installers are necessary. Choose your P3D rootfolder and install it there. Add it manually to the scenerylib and ready. :) Not a big deal I think.
