NOT COMPATIBLE..YET[update]GSX profile release thread

Post by Victoroos » Tue Dec 20, 2016 9:30 am

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 1.1 YET!!!!!!

[update]
-0.3: Now with "better" handelers. No BA etc ;')
-0.4: Changed PB for G3, thanks jorpool
HI all

hereby, my GSX profile that I have been working on during beta. Call it an idea that took too much time.
IT IS NOT DONE!!! definitely not. Only the 'main" gates are done, and it is now study week, so yeah, not that much time for a few days. Feedback is more than welcome.
[features]
- No marshaller where non required
- vehicles actually outside of the building and not in your way. (might conflict with static vehicles, will look at that during break ;))
-Push back procedures as accurate as possible
-Custom push and pull procedures are there too.

Push and pull? How? Well, I altered the afcad a bit...or a lot (with permission from emilio!..right? ;)) It might be a bit glitchy, but that is GSX calculating the PB way. In the end you'll end up correctly though. They are included in the zip, make sure to backup the old ones by changing all the extensions of the 4 to .bckp or something. This way, the configurator keeps working..you're welcome.

very kind regards and hiya

Great work!

The issue with the docking systems in the scenery is that the indicated stopping position (PMDG NGX) does not usually correspond with the ground markings. The GSX-marshaller seem to provide a more accurate stopping position with the nosewheel at least positioned in the correct ground marking zone. How were the docking systems fine-tuned? What aircraft type was used as a reference?

I don't take it personal, but you can always activate the marshall back if you want. Just one tick ;).
About the question, that is emilios cup of tea :)

each gate is fixed separately, usually using default 737 or airbus trying to find a 'best-fit for all', but agree that there might be some positions where docking is inaccurate. Did you make any note as to which gate/s might have been most problematic?

are you using FSX or P3D?
in case it's FSX, you can temporarily swtich to BGLC type safegate (via configurator), which are AES-placed and much more accurate than my placement :-(

in the meantime i ll have a go-around all gates again to check

G3 pushback is not how they go in real life.
Now you will pushed into gate H1.
Look my picture below where they push to in reallife.

G3 is a pushback for smaller airplanes. B757 and larger have a push-pull procedure. Unfortunately, it isn't possible with GSX to do that (as far as I am aware).

Vic, can you update your GSX afcad according to this new ILS/GP fix (number 7 in "Sticky: Central fixes topic"):
Cheers!
