Editing Animated Billboards
Hi all,
I would like to edit animated billboards for Resorts World, Aria, Cosmopolitan, and MGM Grand, for more dynamic &realistic billboards, and to add further immersion.
Would anyone know how to do that? Or FlyTampa team, would you guys be able to add those in next update?
Thanks,

Re: Editing Animated Billboards
Do you know a way to download the Reels from Instagram? If so, it can probably be done. Each video in the scenery is formatted as a 4k image, with each frame of the video as a snippet of the image.

Yes, you can use "4K Stogram" from 4K Download to download reels.

Do you know if the Cosmo and Aria already have animated videos in the scenery?

Not animated, those looks like static gifs. This is what I'm trying to do:

Would anyone know how to do this? Or FlyTampa Team, can you make the billboards like above in the next update(s)? You guys did it for Resorts World, and Park MGM, so I know it's doable.

Re: Editing Animated Billboards
It would be hard for anyone outside of FT to make new billboards for the scenery because they have all the uncompressed model and texture files. Replacing videos is doable with a simple texture swap, but you’d need to use 3dsMax or blender to add on to their model. They are working on a big update, so perhaps more billboards will be included, even the Fontainebleau now that it’s open.

I really hope they are working on it!
In the meantime, I made more concept videos:

Hopefully emillio and FlyTampa Team sees this and gets the idea! I would even pay if it looked this good.

What are you guy's thoughts on the concept videos?

Re: Editing Animated Billboards
I think they should only bother with the larger billboards because they will reduce frame rate, especially when multiple are in view. The only additional one I'm calling for is the Fontainebleau's billboard. I think they need to actually model it since it's completed now, as well as the new F1 paddock near the Sphere.

I agree, MGM Grand, Aria, Cosmopolitan, Resorts World, Fontainbleau, and maybe Mandalay Bay, Wynn and Planet Hollywood as well.
Made another one in HD, and with a Copperfield ad this time:):

Re: Editing Animated Billboards
Hi All,
Uploaded another showcase video: https://youtu.be/_v9Huiuy7gg
My idea is to add more immersion and realistic Las Vegas visuals when flying in or out of Las Vegas. I've made the billboard animations mimic real life billboards as close as possible for MGM Grand, New York, New York, Park MGM, Aria, Miracle Mile Shops, Cosmopolitan (not in this video), Wynn (not in this video), Resorts World, Mandalay Bay (work in progress), and Fontainebleau (will make one when FlyTampa models the billboard). I've paid extra attention, and made the animation longer for Resorts World because RW's billboard is visible from pretty much the south half of Las Vegas.
Since the aforementioned hotels' billboards are some of the largest, and the most visible from the gates, during taxiing, takeoffs, and landings, it's reasonable that only these should be reworked to save on performance,FPS, and file size. Nonetheless, these will look amazing on both IFR or VFR flights.
I will send the billboard animations to FlyTampa team soon. Hopefully, they will integrate this or something similar to coming update(s).
Thanks,
