This great product is causing CTD at the airport on X Box. Have been testing it since the launch on Marketplace. Hope Fly Tampa are aware and have a solution

Confirming that this is still an issue. Despite trying multiple things to fix it still crashes.

Any update from other users or Admin please?

This scenery is great, but it simply is not stable at all on Xbox Series X, it causes CTD (crash to desktop) every single time, and it’s a known problem among your customers.
Please give us a status update on how you plan to improve this FlyTampa. We love your content and all we want is to be able to use and enjoy it.

It's not their fault. Its Microsoft that need to work on xbox stability.

Are you sure though? Why are some 3rd party airports never showing problems on Xbox while others (Corfu island and Las Vegas, both by FlyTampas) are always causing crashes? To me it looks like it is product specific.

After some further testing I am absolutely confident that the FlyTampa products are flawed on Xbox, causing extremely frequent CTDs (crash to desktop). This is not a general stability problem with the Xbox version of MSFS, because other 3rd party airports show very stable performance. This problem of FlyTampa products is acknowledged by othe Xbox simmers on the MSFS forums.

I am expecting some professionalism from FlyTampa to improve their products through updates, and showing their customers that they care. Because right now there is no official statements or status updates as far as I know from the developers.

There are 100s of XBOX CTDs with almost all third party scenery. Look at the Microsoft MSFS CTD forum. Its overflowing with XBOX CTDs. I myself have had scenery CTDs from many developers including Flytampa. Some are worst than others depanding on how complex the scenry. My Flytampa sceneries work fine on PC; so its an XBOX issue. Microsoft acnoledged the problem months ago, Memory managment problems I think.

I'd love to fix it for you but we don't know for sure why the XBOX is prone to CTDs. There is no devmode for xbox, so sceneries can't be tested till after release. All testing is done on the PC.
I did, many months ago, email Microsoft to see if an engineer could debug an XBOX CTD. They told me to submit a regular zendesk ticket. Tumbleweeds... They're busy, no problem I get it.

I suspect downgrading the scenery to use low resolution textures and removing the complex animations MIGHT help, but it MIGHT not. We can't test it to find out, so how much content can we remove and will much be left. Some customers will be upset with lower res artwork.

Lots of other developers have CTD issues as you can see in the MS forums. I re call even some ASOBO scenery can cause CTDs.

Last time I tested Athens on xbox. I was able to fly for an hour in the cessna biz jet. Circuits and high speed taxis. No CTD.
But the ASOBO 737, CTD after 5-10 minutes every time. The 737 might just use more resources.

I'll keep my eye out for solutions.

Thanks for the response. The detailed response gives me a better understanding of your challenges.

For sure there are CTD problems with scenery from other devs as well, I was mainly meaning the frequency seems much larger than average with, for instance, the otherwise beautiful Fly Corfu scenery.
Perhaps a clever downgrade is needed then, I don’t know. I’m not a dev myself, so I wouldn’t know about the various technical strategies that could be used.

I would love to see an improvement in the future, because I love the scenery as such. There is no doubt about the visual quality of the FlyTampa scenery. With higher reliability I will buy them all. 😊

I recently bought this for xbox. I'm on series s. The airport works fine with stock airplanes, for example a320. But when using third party airplanes, for example the a321 it ctd's at loading to the gate or the runway. Also, even if your a flying above it at 39000 ft with the a321 it also ctd's. I'm just informing the fly tampa team maybe I could help.

LGAV works great with A321 and every other third party airplane I have tried.

Have a great year!!!!!!!

When can we expect an update on this airport? CTD with ATR and any third party aircraft. Only stock work.
