Re: Eham
Schiphol is installing new VDGS systems right now. Might be too late for the initial msfs release but perhaps a future update?

Re: Eham
It would be great if we could force the ai traffic to land and takeoff on user selected rwy`s. Eham is typicly a mess when it comes to ai and runway selection.
Re: Eham
That was a problem on earlier versions of FS and P3D but I believe MSFS handles this better. Still, there are some one-way runways in Amsterdam which, if you're not careful, tend to be used in the wrong direction. It would be weird to see an aircraft backtrack all the way on the Polderbaan to the north end, do a 180 degree turn there and take off from runway 18R. That's not done in real life, 18R is for landing only. Departures are done from 36L, but you'll never see an aircraft land on 36L.guusongeluk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 3:01 am It would be great if we could force the ai traffic to land and takeoff on user selected rwy`s. Re: Eham
Yep same goes for 18L (only take off) and 36R (only landing)
Also when the wind conditions are extreme and or rare 22 and 24 are used for landings as well
24 with the famous breakoff landing via 27

Re: Eham
Ooohh.... I miss so much the Runway Configurator for Amsterdam V1.... it was great to check at FR24 and https://www.lvnl.nl/omgeving/baangebruik the runway system in use, and then replicate it into the sim...
I wish we could get something similar for MSFS, since the system logic most times leaves more to be desired...
Will there be MSFS EHAM for this weekend???? (rain forecasted for Sunday... ;)

The silence is killing. Last update was from 27th of April: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=68 ... 7444740783
Re: Eham
I agree it's taking way too long. On April 1st they said it wouldn't be much longer, now we're two and a half months further. I'm curious to FlyTampa's definition of "much longer".
Or might it be that the airport is changing faster than FlyTampa can develop? Like I said earlier, FlyTampa is known for excellent quality but not for development speed. They're one of the slowest developers out there. At a certain moment you got to just release what you got, it might not be perfect but it's good enough. The rest can always be fixed through later updates, but then at least the customers have got something.

Re: Eham
By the way, I did a quick comparison. FlyTampa released the X-Plane version of Amsterdam on December 20th, 2022. Ever since then it has been quiet, nothing has been released for all that time. In the meanwhile IniBuilds has released no less than six entire airports. On average they released an airport every 37.8 days. FlyTampa's last release was 193 days ago, and counting...
Re: Eham
INI builds scenery is rushed and very generic with the same textures re used all over. Besides, they have 30 - 50 developers. Flytampa have 1-2 guys per airport from what I can gather.PatrickZz wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 5:40 am By the way, I did a quick comparison. Re: Eham
I don't know how inibuilds manage to release such art masterpieces in this timeframe. we are humbled by this comparisonPatrickZz wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 5:40 am By the way, I did a quick comparison. Re: Eham
I wouldn't exactly call them masterpieces but they're sufficient. They're not FlyTampa quality but they're good enough, FlyTampa offers a way higher quality than necessary. Inibuilds does what's necessary, then releases. If you would have done the same, you could have released half a year ago and I would have been satisfied with the result.emilios[flytampa] wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 6:23 amI don't know how inibuilds manage to release such art masterpieces in this timeframe. we are humbled by this comparisonPatrickZz wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 5:40 am By the way, I did a quick comparison. Anyway, I'm glad to get a response. I was already beginning to fear something had happened.
Re: Eham
Theres absolutely no need to rush these kind of projects just because only a handfull of simmers just dont have any patience at all. Just wait, it will be worth it. :)
