Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Hi there,
I just downloaded from ORBX and am not seeing this.
It would be worth doing a verify files in ORBX Central.
In my content.xml file the Flytampa entries are at the bottom with flytampa-libraries above flytampa-sydney.
Hope this helps.
All the best,
John

Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
We saw this during testing on Martin's setup. I don't recall what the solution was. I think he at least reinstalled. We definitely have vegetation excludes all over the airport areas.
Do you have orbx cityscape? Can you try moving your terrain sliders around a bit as the runway is also too bumpy. I wonder if some lack of terrain resolution is causing the issue.
Nice setup btw.

Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Have you removed Asobo's version of YSSY via the Content Manager? This might also cause some issues...
Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Hi all - I’ve removed the ASOBO YSSY and all seems to be good now. The only other issue I have so far is ILS alignment - but this might have more to do with ProSim and MSFS.
Does anyone else have any issues with localiser alignment?
Thanks for the kind words regarding the setup
George - it has taken many years - still have a fair bit of cockpit building to do. My blog is at http://www.soarbywire.com where you can follow my build.
Sydney MSFS looks great! 😀

Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Trees on the runway can happen if you run in offline mode I just disovered.
Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
I also have trees on the runway and taxiway. I also have ORBX Cityscape Sydney installed.

Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Just stumbled across this thread as I'm getting trees around the taxiways/runways at FlyTampa YSSY Sydney as well. Its not as bad as the OP's and I only get them in a couple of spots which makes me think there is an issues with the exclude. Things I've tried.

1. Confirmed BING data and photogrammetry are set to ON (i've cycled them both)
2. Removed Asobos YSSY (although have tried leaving it in place as well)
3. Tried adjusting the order in content.xml without success.
4. Removed all content from the community folder
5. Rebuild the content.xml without success
6. I do not have ORBX Sydney Cityscape install
Observations;
- Both the default and handcrafted YSSY do not give trees
- If I layer the handcrafted over the top of the Fly Tampa there are no trees.
- Removing the handcrafted so that the only scenery that's active is FlyTampas gives me trees around the edges of the 16R/34L runway as can be seen above.
The trees only appear in these few spots - not all over the place like the OP's so I'm not convinced its the same issue. Seems an exclude problem to me.
Anybody got any other troubleshooting tips?

Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
I installed Sydney from the marketplace and had trees show up just like yours. At first I figured a recent update must of broken it again but after restarting the sim the trees are gone.
Perhaps try reinstalling and reboot the sim. Make sure photogrammetry and Bing are on. Remove the Asobo version.

Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Other than making sure Bing data is on, these are the steps that I would do to diagnose the issue ....
1. Delete any rolling cache, and temporarily turn it off. Ensure you have the default Asobo YSSY uninstalled.
2. Exit MSFS
3. Delete the Content.xml file. For MS store version it's :- (AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Content.xml)
4. Delete the Scenery Indexes .dat files. For MS store version it's :- (AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes\*.dat)
5. Remove everything other than the YSSY scenery to the Community folder.
6. Start MSFS and spawn in to the scenery, if everything is okay start to load and re-enable addons and options, testing the scenery as you go.

Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Hi George - As I said in my message above, I've already double checked (and cycled these options). It doesn't fix the issue.george[flytampa] wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 12:25 am I installed Sydney from the marketplace and had trees show up just like yours. Some good suggestions in there, however unfortunately I had already tried them all without success.
I've no idea what is causing this. I only see trees in those small number of locations around the airport. Clearly its not just me as even George said he say them at one point before a restart of the sim fixed it. Just can't nail down what is causing it.

Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Do you have any tree season addons from BIJAN?
Re: MSFS Sydney - Trees on Runway
Hi George,
No I do not. I have also tried removing ALL addons in the community folder. I'm kind of out of ideas. I guess at least there isn't THAT many trees on the runway! :)
