Default ground texture & double runway

Post by hrhett » Sat Jan 02, 2021 1:03 am

George, et-al,

I have US Cities Boston installed but have both AF2_KBOS_ALT and AF2_KBOS BGL's disabled. The buildings are okay but the FT ground textures are 'buried' beneath the P3D default. The runway seems to have elevation issues as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Any way I can reorder the XML so that the airport sits on top of the city?

Thanks,
Howard

Already tried both suggestions. Did not work. Would US Cities being layered higher than KBOS in the XML scenery register have an impact? Oddly, if I edit scenery with Lorby Organizer, KBOS is layered at 1 and Boston City is 363.

I don't think the Aerosoft scenery used the addon xml method last time I tried it. You could try installing Boston again to see if it goes to the top of the list. Your shot looks like their elevation file is still active though.
check in P3D\Scenery\World\scenery for their elevation files.

Okay, so here's what I did. Turns out the latest version of USCBoston does store as XML. I used Lorby to switch back to scenery and raised the priority of the airport over it. All is well.

Thanks for your support.
