Water Issues and Problem with Visual docking guidance system

Post by hamadnas » Tue Apr 11, 2017 6:01 am

Hi

I love this scenery and after buying a new PC it looks much better.
But the water textures are looking strange - they are looking too dark (sometimes near to black) and the reflection or shimmering of the sun seems to be extreme - or is it normal for this scenery?

Please see attached Pictures.

Does anyone has a solution for that?

And my second Problem is concerning the Visual docking guidance system. When taxiing into the Gate it doesnt show me anything, only when I have to Stop it shows STOP or TFAR if iam over the point. But no distances are shown before STOP. //I have also activated the Safeget Checkbox in the Configuration Setup but it doesnt work :(

Hope that someone can help solving both issues.
Thank you so much

If needed this are my PC Spec
Prepar3D v3
i5 6600K, 8GB RAM, Nvidia 970 GTX

The Dubai safegates aren't fully compatible with the newer Prepar3D versions.

The water you can revert to default (waterclass) by disabling the entry "FlyTampa-Dubai_LC" in the Scenery Library. How the water looks in terms waves/shimmering etc is independent of the scenery however, that can be set in Prepar3D settings and with various water/shader Addons

Thanks martin for your quick reply.
Yes you were right these water problems are occuring all over the world and doesnt have to do with the FlyTampa Scenery. Now i made some adjustments at REX4 Texture Menu and now it has become much better.

Are there any chances that the DXB Safegates will become compatible in the future with prepar3D v3.4?

Thanks :)
