Problems with Chicago Midway!

Post by 737Best » Mon Jul 18, 2005 1:53 pm

Hi, I'm new here.

I've been looking for the perfect add-on for FS2004, and I thought I would never find it. But all the fly Tampa products are AMAZING.

With that said, I am having a few problems...

1. I don't see cars going around my airport :-( . I know I installed the package with the cars checked off, so maybe it's the detail level I set on FS.

2. My plane's undercarriage is cut off. The wheels are slightly flat on the bottom, as (I'm assuming, here :? ) it is rolling on the ground and the scenery is elevated by a foot.

3. When I taxi, the scenery around my plane, like the centerlines, flicker. Also, when I taxi on solid ground, my plane will start to bump around as if it is on dirt.

Other than those minor details, this is the best investment I ever made!

Sorry if this sounds obnoxious and all! :P

As far azs dynamic scenery is concerned, do you have the option enabled in FS? In the settings sections with your sliders for scenery make sure you have add-on dynamic scenery enabled.

aarskringspier is almost correct, but the "Addon Dynamic scenery" slider won't do anything. I actually believe that is a leftover from old school FS addons since in the new scenery SDKs I never read anything about it.

The slider you need to increase is the general "scenery complexity" one. To get the cars you need to have it at either very or extreme dense.

Problem 2 and 3 sound related to each other. I guess this is caused either by having installed in the wrong folder. All Addon sceneries should be in a folder of their own (default Addon Scenery/FlyTampa-Midway)... or 2nd there is another Addon interfering.

If you have lots of time try deactivating all other 3rd party addons in the scenery library leaving only FlyTampa-Midway to single out if this is caused by something else.... Or send a copy of your scenery.cfg located in the main FS folder to martin@flytampa. com

I know 100% that in our scenery that slider doesn't do anything and I know 90% in most other sceneries I have it doesn't do anything either.
