I'm having a problem with the Midway scenery

Post by hey_eng » Mon Jul 04, 2005 10:50 am

First of all, Midway is gorgeous, I love it! I've never been to the real Midway before, but I am really impressed with the quality of this scenery!!

Unfortunately, I've noticed a problem with my Midway scenery. Okay, I have some pictures here, that I have resized down to 800x600. They show my problem. Basically, my terminal is not at the airport, but rather offset for some reason off to the side of the airport. I have some KORD scenery, but Midway was installed below it in the scenery settings. I also use FSGenesis terrain mesh scenery, but don't really think that this is a player here. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the scenery, but I get the same results. I've never had this happen to me before, so I find it very odd indeed. It looks like something is off with the placement of the object itself, I don't know. I'll be the first to admit, I know nothing of scenery design!! Anyway, if anyone has some helpful inputs, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!

That is clearly not the MDW FT version (the gnd textures are, but the terminals and other scenery are not). That looks like the addon where someone just added jetways to the terminal. Try doing afresh reinstall after removing any other sceneries for MDW you had, and that should do the trick.

sfgiants13 is correct I think.

The terminal that is floating in the air is from a freeware KMDW scenery I believe. Since that scenery most likely has an "exclude" it is excluding Fly-Midway's terminal.

Reinstall Fly-Midway alone won't help tho. You need to look into your scenery library for this other KMDW addon and deactivate it.

BINGO!!!

Yep, it was in with a freeware addon scenery called "PF FS2004 Jetways". I went and took out those files, so problem solved! The reason I never noticed it at first was because when I first got Midway, I was flying out of the GA side of the airport, so I never really noticed it, hehe.

Thanks for jarring my memory guys, you just made my day!

I had the same problem, just had to delete the old Midway file from my addon scenery folder.
