Scenery database is rebuilt at every FSX start

Post by skeller » Tue Nov 11, 2014 8:29 am

Hello all,

I installed EKCH for FSX, and since then, whenever I launch FSX, I get the messages "Completing setup: Creating scenery file indexes" and "Creating database for new scenery files" (I'm using the German version of FSX, so these messages are translations and the exact English wording might differ).

I just found out by trial and error that when I disable the FlyTampa-Libraries entry in the Scenery Config, FSX starts as expected.

Has anyone else observed this behaviour? Has anyone found a workaround other than disabling the libraries? And what do I lose, when I leave the libraries disabled?

FSX, Win 7 Pro 64 Bit, EKCH Setup run as administrator, FlyTampa Configurator run as administrator, UAC off.

Thanks and best regards,
Stefan
