please help

i want to update my video card so that i can improve my gaming which right now has horrible frame rates, like 3.5 it sucks.
i have ATI Radeon™ HD 4200 Series right now and i was thinking about getting ATI Radeon™ HD 4600 Series would this help me allot?

One word......NVIDIA. They're far superior to ATI.

That kind of generalized statement is completely untrue. Some of the higher end ATI cards perform really well in benchmarks and can sometimes be had at a lower cost. Personally, I go with NVIDIA...only had great experiences. But a lot of people prefer the ATI cards and they do well for the price.

I'm referring to FSX. Not in general. And the 700s just underwent a price-cut today.

660ti is a pretty solid card already. Why the decision to upgrade if you don't mind me asking? Don't get me wrong, if you have the money do it. You sure you can't put the money somewhere else though like the CPU, RAM, Mobo, etc...?
