Can anyone help me with this????

Post by arnold1628 » Wed Dec 08, 2004 4:04 am

Everytime my planes are landing @ 28R @ KSFO, they exit the runway onto the grass. I have looked at the afcad many times and there is no taxiway there as well as I do not have any other afcad overlayed or anything. Just the one that i work with. Also too with the 28L runway planes are exiting @ the wrong spots. Oh also too, I have waited almost 30mins to let traffic "settle" in my game and it still does it. Any help would be great or anything more that someone might need to know, please just ask!!!!!

Check that you have not got two AFCADS for KSFO loaded.

There is a tool available from http://www.nwlink.com/~erog/ that will help you there.

Thanks for that program, that was helpful. Unfortunately it did not show I had a duplicate KSFO AF2 file. The other thing that I have in mind, is could it be my stars setup I have for crossing runways. I did not know how to do it myself so I copied the setup of one off of Avsim. I thought it would work, but actually I have not seen the use of any runways beside 28R & L. Yet ATC calls planes to the 9L & 9R runways, which are invisible runways setup for the crossing technique. Could this be the problem that I missed a step in setting up STARS for my airport? If anyone can help this would be great!!!!!

The STAR system is very hard to setup for KSFO, especially if you're aiming for realism. You're best bet is to stick with the AFCAD that came with KSFO. The star system isn't something that can easily be done... ever. It'd be very hard to copy it over from another airport.
