Humberside EGNJ V1.1 GSX Profiles and other

Post by diggerflight » Sun Jun 09, 2024 3:27 am

Hi,

First of all thank you for doing my local airport :-)
Probably me, but just in-case, but I never saw an EGNJ "GSX Profile Included" installed into the AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS folder. Could you please confirm where I can get your Humberside GSX profile please?

It is a shame to still be using buses by default (at least for me) when you went to all the trouble of modelling the walkways on the tarmac. If they could depart from Gates 2-4 and arrive via Gate 5 for customs etc... that would be great. I personally have only experienced gates 3 and 4 being used IRL for info.
Have made myself a local one in the meantime for Gate 4 to Ramp 3 from where the KLM to and from Amsterdam usually parks.

Can't comment on the CHC helicopter terminal for the North Sea wind farms and oil platforms.

Cheers,
PS there is a short cut open door/passage from the security check area to the lounge without going through the (to be modelled?) duty free shop. With the shop doors in front of you and security behind you - in the corner on right hand wall. It comes out into the passage way that you have modelled.

PPS final question - are the taxiways types modelled - e.g. grass, tarmac or concrete? Reason I ask is I also use an ATC program and would need this info to improve its' airport operations file for its' ATC - i.e. don't send an non GA aircraft down a grass taxiway...

The GSX profile comes with the scenery. There should be a GSX folder and you can install the ini file manually. I think Orbx and Contrail install it automatically.

It's also available for download here...

The duty free area won't be modelled. Its just too much work for something deep within the building without windows.

The grass taxiways are in the scenery. They are very narrow to avoid anything big using them.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply and all the information.

I purchased Humberside via the simMarket shop (best £ exchange rate at the time) which gave me a key for my email to put into your universal installer. Are the GSX Profiles within the community folder and the scenery therefore - I'll double check? I had done the v1.1 version download on both servers to check whether I had missed something.

I don't have access rights to the of link that you gave as an alternative for the GSX profiles namely the forum topic ...viewtopic.php?t=36910

Cheers.

Hi! I got the scenery via Orbx, and in the scenery folder there is a GSX profile folder. Path is: ...\Community\flytampagg-humberside\GSX Profile You need to copy the file manually to the gSX folder. In case you cannot find the profile I have attached it as ZIP.

Thank you Er!k for the zip of the GSX profiles.

I did investigated further, though and found this:
- V1.1 via the universal installer did not create a GSX Profile folder... at least for myself (as I didn't install V1.0 first)
- V1.0 does

So having installed V1.0 and got the GSX Profiles within the folder given by Er!k I then reinstalled V1.1.

Thank you everyone who helped - and I do love your modelling of Humberside Airport. Feel I should have said that earlier. Will probably get your Amsterdam Airport because of it.
