KLAS Installation Issues? MSFS

Hello! I come here as I've exhausted the traditional troubleshooting steps for this problem, such that I've reached the "contact the third-party developer" step. I'm happy to provide additional information or redirect my query if this isn't the proper forum.

I have just purchased and installed the FlyTampa KLAS scenery v.2.0 and find the airport and city will not appear on the MSFS map.

Both packages (City + airport) appear under MSFS's Content Manager as installed. Both packages appear as registered and mounted in the developer scenery window. Yet, the MSFS map does not show the newly added airport, and when loading in I find the default scenery remains.

The following troubleshooting steps have unfortunately failed me:
- Deleted and repopulated "DCE" folder from LocalState.
- Removed all community addons except City + airport folders.
- Deleted city + airport scenery folders then reinstalled.
- Confirmed PC time matches time.gov.

Purchased from FlyTampa site and used the "universal installer".

I'm using the latest MSFS version, no beta.

I have the console copied and pasted as a .txt, and as a pastebin, but can't share either in this forum post.

Any troubleshooting steps that I can try here? Much obliged for any assistance.

hi there. sorry for the delay. This appears ood. Any chance you could send any images from your content manager (from MSFS), and shots from the KLAS in the sim?

Thanks for your reply. I've attached an image of the content manager, the player map, and three in-game screenshots of what I'm 99% sure is the default scenery. I also picked up a screenshot of the "airport debug" text for KLAS.

Yes indeed this is default KLAS. very strange. Is there anything peculiar about the location of your community folder? ie on external drive, linked via shortcut? using any add-on manager software?

Last, could you please navigate to the community folder and simply give the reading of folders sizes ? (airport and city)

p.s. any other KLAS add-ons exist on your msfs?

Hey there, pardon my late reply! Semester in full swing.

I have not modified the default location of the Community folder. It remains on my Windows (C:) drive. I only have one addon manager, iniManager, but notice I haven't used it. I have no installed products according to that program.

Full routing is: C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

No other KLAS addons.

flytampa-lasvegas-airport is 2.54 GB.
flytampa-lasvegas-city is 534 MB.

Alas, here I am near two months after my purchase without a working product.

Is there anything else I can do here before looking for a refund?

Try deleting the rolling cache.
&
Delete(backup first) the .dat files located in C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes

Rerun and it should rebuild the files.

Hey, great news! These steps - manually deleting the rolling cache and the SceneryIndexes - got the airport to show up. It's a lovely bit of scenery and I'm pleased it's working.

But - the city is conspicuously missing. Would you recommend any additional steps?

...aaand we're good! I did a simple reinstall and this fixed the problem.

I was reading through this because I was having the same exact issue. I went into msfs and deleted my rolling cache and followed all the steps, the only problem is that for the

"C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes" I literally don't have a Scenery Indexes folder. The farthest I can get is to LocalCache and then it takes me into another packages folder and its pretty much a dead end. Just wondering if there is anything I can do because I don't really want to get a refund but afraid that might be the only choice I have.
