Could you share you package with us?
We are talking about FS9, aren`t we?
And finally: Classic jets? Let me know which classic british jet addons are the best.
Sebastian - you are very enthusiastic! I use FS9. It's not a package, I'm afraid. I just had to go searching the internet to find what I wanted. I can't redistribute them because they are copyrighted by the authors. But I can tell you where to look. I can let you have my flight plans but I'm just rewriting and simplifying them as I found a few bugs. I'll post here when I'm happy with them in case anybody else wants them.
This is how my Retro Kai Tak works. I have kept all the retro traffic purely to serve Kai Tak and it does not interfere with my World of AI traffic or fly to any other main airports. VHHH is unaffected. It all flies to or from a remote airport on the island of Makung, west of Taiwan (RCQC). There is a 10,000 ft runway and very little traffic so it was ideal for my purpose. I upgraded the airport using AFCAD and made sure it had ILS/DME and lots of extra parking. Now all I had to do was create flight plans between VHHX and RCQC to accommodate my retro traffic. The schedule allows for one aircraft movement at VHHX every two and a half minutes and uses 72 flightplans (you can duplicate some aircraft if you want, e.g. Cathay Pacific). So they're not genuine traffic movements but give the same effect if you are viewing at Kai Tak and just want to watch regular arrivals and departures without caring where they are going.
The best ones to start with are the 747-100s, -200s and DC10s as you will almost certainly already have those in your aircraft folder (WoAI) and just need to find some suitable repaints on Avsim. They are AI Aardvark and are used by World of AI and come with different engine options and also as cargo models. I can give you more info later about the other aircraft types if you want it.
Now, about Classic British jets. If you'd like to try some, the best models are by David Maltby (freeware).
http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/ In fact I think they are some of the best models available for FS9 of any period. The are beautifully modelled and have photoreal panels and sound included and come with a self-installer. They also have full documentation and there are tutorials on David's website. There is the De Havilland DH106 Comet, Hawker Siddeley Trident, BAC 1-11 and Vickers VC10. They have both 2D and 3D cockpits except the VC10 which only has 2D. But the VC10 is probably the best to start with as it is the easiest and most rewarding to fly. They also come with a batch file to convert them to AI - as in my screenshots. Have a look at David's website!
Cheers for now
