Amsterdam - Ortho4XP patch
Please download the Ortho4XP patch for Amsterdam.
This is a standard patch which can be used in accordance with MUXP instructions https://github.com/nofaceinbook/muxp/re ... Manual.pdf
https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/f ... lane-muxp/
In summary, when the user runs the tool for the first time, they select the path to their simulator in the 'config' menu as well as press 'Create folder for updated dsf'. Once that is set, they need to select the Ortho4XP scenery pack as the 'Fixed source for dsf'. On the window asking for the MUXP file, please point to the .muxp file located in our .zip below and press 'start MUXP' to begin patching the mesh. Depending on the mesh density of their ortho tile, this can take a while to complete.

if it's sat on the 'processing' leave it be even though it seems stuck. I left it alone doing another flight and eventually it was done, took best part of 2 hours on a ZL16 Ortho tile.

Re: Amsterdam - Ortho4XP patch
Mine seems to get stuck on "Processing insert_mesh_from_file EHAM_MUXP.obj" after completing "reading dsf file".

Re: Amsterdam - Ortho4XP patch
The new file should be inside the Earth Nav Data folder for the ortho tile you created (+52+004), there should also be backups automatically created. There will be a new popup in MUXP when it finishes the process so it's impossible to miss when it is completed because there should be one final step.Semern55555 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 4:02 pmMine sadly did not work! :( How did you know it worked, like, where is the new file?
Re: Amsterdam - Ortho4XP patch
I got bored and just ended up making Geotifs , was way faster
Re: Amsterdam - Ortho4XP patch
Thanks for including this patch. With the tool I was able to figure it out on the first try and it fixed my elevation issues for my Ortho4XP tile in combination with this scenery.
Just to help make it clear for others:
- In the muxp tool config screen setup X-plane base folder (so for example "C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/X-Plane 11")
- Then press the button "create folder for updated dsf". This fills the "Folder to updated DEFAULT dsf".
- Under the Advanced Settings set the "Fixed source for dsf (Option)" to your Otho4xp tile, in case of EHAM that will be: Custom Scenery/zOrtho4XP_+52+004
- Hit save, close program, reopen.
- In main screen now select the downloaded MUXP file.
- Hit Start muxp
- Wait 2 hours or so (while program is unresponsive)
- Exit program, maybe check scenery_packs.ini to see if all makes sense still or -> Do a test run.
- Success!
