Hi,
It is noted that the Las Vegas scenery is intended to be run on X Plane 11 in Vulkan. Having said that, I am running it on Open GL within version 11.41.
Leaving a side the issues related to frame rates in X Plane 11.41, I notice that there is excessive bloom and bleeding of lights from especially the city and areas surrounding the airport. This is to the extent that my screen is covered by the bloom where it is difficult to see much of the other aspects of the scenery when at ground level.
Is this something that is specific to the shaders on version 11.41? If that is the case is there any fix to reduce the bloom within the scenery? Don't have this problem within any other payware scenery I have installed thus far.
Your thoughts and assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Remaz

Hi there, coudl you post a shot showing the airport and city in distance, to help understand the issue?
also, any chace you are using a modified lites.txt, or any .lua tweaks which might affect XPlights?

Re: X PLane 11 - Las Vegas Night Lighting
Hi,
Thank you for your prompt response.
As requested I enclose the screen capture (I have a triple monitor set up).
The response to your question as to whether I am/was using a modified lites.txt file is - Yes. But before taking the attached screen shot I replaced the original X Plane lites.txt file. But I didn't see any difference in the bloom effect between original file and the modified one. Secondly I don't have any Lua files to modify the lites file.
I am also using Xvision; thought I would mention this as it may be relevant. I tried disabling some the tweaks within Xvision which would affect light rendering such as bloom effects etc. But still no difference.
Hope this helps.
Thank you again.

Re: X PLane 11 - Las Vegas Night Lighting
Thanks for the shot..eye opening (literally) :)
yes definitely these lights are blown out of proportion. If you arleady replaced your lites.txt it must be coming from anothe plugin/addon which overexposes the effect.
We have used the native XPlane recommended values to create our lights (also using default XPlights), so i am guessing something is not compatible with XVision most probably.

Re: X PLane 11 - Las Vegas Night Lighting
Thank you for your insights.
At least I now know that it's not a shader or incompatibility issue with X-plane 11.41.
Perhaps I may have installed or modified some file that affects the lighting in your scenery over past year or two. So I will try and do some digging through at my end to identify the culprit.
Thank you once again for your assistance.
