Vegas (Bellagio) .fx errors

Post by Gridley » Tue Jul 21, 2020 2:41 pm

Hi all,
I have a ton of "duplicate section name" errors for many (the max of 999 entries in the file) Bellagio effects in my P3Dv5 "ContentErrors.txt" file. I still get these errors with fountains disabled in the config application.

Code: Select all

[error.0]
error=Duplicate Section Name
File: L:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\FlyTampa\LasVegas\effects\flytampa_bellagio1_rl_blue_night.fx
Section: Emitter.47

[error.1]
error=Duplicate Section Name
File: L:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\FlyTampa\LasVegas\effects\flytampa_bellagio1_rl_blue_night.fx
Section: Particle.47

[error.2]
error=Duplicate Section Name
File: L:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\FlyTampa\LasVegas\effects\flytampa_bellagio1_rl_blue_night.fx
Section: ParticleAttributes.47

[error.3]
error=Duplicate Section Name
File: L:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\FlyTampa\LasVegas\effects\flytampa_bellagio1_rl_green_night.fx
Section: Emitter.47

....SNIP....

[error.999]
error=Duplicate Section Name
File: L:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\FlyTampa\LasVegas\effects\flytampa_bellagio_circle_small2_s_cc_long_tall_red_night.fx
Section: Emitter.23
Just an FYI.

I'm seeing the same thing...

HI, this probably isn't that big of a deal but when looking at the ContentErrors.txt there are hundreds of entries for the lights in the .fx files for the Belaggio stating that there are dual entries for Emitter.47, Particle.47 and ParticleAttributes.47.

This is for P3DV5 ( i've seen these before in P3DV4 as well ).

I've been manually renumbering them to .99 just to clear the errors messages but was wondering if there should be another number to use?

Which setup does the scenery use? The first or second entry? Is one wrong and the other OK?

The ContentErrors.txt file has 999 error entries allowed and these messages are consuming almost all of them.

Thanks
