i just updated tncm, saba, and st barts and everything looked good on the ground. however, when viewing tncm from distance, the airport is bounded by a dark black box. this artifact goes away as i approach the airport.
what could be causing this? the previous version for p3dv4 worked fine.

Just checked here but can't replicate the problem. Tried various shadow cast/receive options too. You see this in clear weather also and from all angles?

i see this with or without weather, at low or high incidence angle. the problem disappears when very near tncm, it flickers down into the elevation until gone as right near the airport. on the ground at tncm, everything looks fine.
ran the uninstaller and reinstalled tncm to same effect.
looking at it top down, zoomed out, you can make out the dark rectangle surrounding the airport (setting the sun over the airport, set date/time=8/3@11am), if i zoom in one "+", everything is good.

Temporarely rename this file /FlyTampa/StMaarten/scenery/tncm_GRD1.BGL
to .OFF. This will make the ground polys disappear close and far, but please check from the distance to see if this rectangle effect is still there or gone. I just want to find out if its related to this Ground poly BGL.

still the same with that bgl turned off, maybe the box effect is more noticeable.

tncm_excl.off got rid of the box effect.
is this an unique problem to me? i have a pretty generic scenery setup, just using orbx textures and landclass.

I don't know how unique it is, noone else has reported it. I will recompile that file to fix it and send you the new test file soon.

Try the attached replacement BGL, overwrite the existing file.
