Folks
I've installed TNCM with my add-ons outside of V4. I've cobbled together the following XML:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
-<SimBase.Document id="add-on" version="4,0" Type="AddOnXml">
<AddOn.Name>FlyTampa - TNCM</AddOn.Name>
<AddOn.Description>FlyTampa St Maarten</AddOn.Description>
-<AddOn.Component>
<Name>FlyTampa - TNCM scenery</Name>
<Category>Scenery</Category>
<Path>P:\Program Files\FlyTampa\FlyTampa\StMaarten\scenery</Path>
</AddOn.Component>
-<AddOn.Component>
<Category>Texture</Category>
<Path>P:\Program Files\FlyTampa\FlyTampa\StMaarten\texture</Path>
</AddOn.Component>
-<AddOn.Component>
<Category>Scenery</Category>
<Path>P:\Program Files\FlyTampa\scenery\world\scenery</Path>
</AddOn.Component>
-<AddOn.Component>
<Category>Scenery</Category>
<Path>P:\Program Files\FlyTampa\FlyTampa\Libraries\scenery</Path>
</AddOn.Component>
-<AddOn.Component>
<Category>Texture</Category>
<Path>P:\Program Files\FlyTampa\FlyTampa\Libraries\texture</Path>
</AddOn.Component>
</SimBase.Document>
Graphically, it's 95% right. The only thing I can see that are missing are people on the beach. Not sure if there is jet blast sand. Usually too busy looking the other way at that point. I have vehicles driving around, beach umbrellas and other detritus, but no people.
For some reason, at both TNCM and TFFJ the a/c (and other A/I) sits on an elevation that is not one that's particularly visible. There are signs of it if I pan around to certain angles. But otherwise all I can see is FT airport. When I taxi off the phantom elevation, I drop down to the visible elevation then pop back up again as I hit the side of it again. Can't post images.
The only file on the drive outside of the FT folders (apart from a couple of txt files for approaches) is
P:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v4\ORBX\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_APT\scenery ABP_TNCM.inactive, which should be having no effect.
There are:
ABP_TFFJ.bgl &
APT_TFFJ.BGL
in P:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v4\ORBX\FTX_OLC\FTX_VECTOR_FixedAPT\Scenery
plus ABP_TFFJ.inactive in
P:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v4\ORBX\FTX_VECTOR\FTX_VECTOR_APT\scenery
Obviously SABA has no such issues since it doesn't exist as default.
Win 7, P3D V4.0, more than enough horses under the hood. Running Orbx Vector and Pilots mesh (2010, I think). Don't have the issue on my FSX install, which have both Vector and the mesh, so I don't think it's that.
Can anyone identify a flaw in the XML, or a potential file clash that might be causing it? There is clearly a file or two that is causing the issue. There should be no reason to re-install.
Cheers
Mike

Re: Nearly there in V4
Libraries is separate add-on component
Re: Nearly there in V4
Thanks. Does this mean I need to add another xml completely just for the libraries, and remove it from this xml? I need you to elaborate a bit.dgraham1284 wrote:Libraries is separate add-on component
