Can't get the scenery to load
I just bought this and have read the documentation, support info, and forum comments and still can't get FSX to load the scenery. First, the scenery installed in the FSX folder instead of the add-on scenery folder for some reason. All of your documentation says it should be in the add-on scenery folder. Anyway, when I try to add the scenery and press OK, it goes through the loading stuff and looks like it worked, but the default still loads. When I check back in settings, it is not listed. I add it again then check back, and it's not there. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've restarted FSX several times. I tried moving the folder to the add-on scenery folder. Nothing works. I have added a LOT of scenery and am quite familiar with adding new scenery areas but I can't get this one to add. Suggestions??

If you have the latest version, it normaly should install into FSX/FlyTampa/Dubai/ as well as Dubai_LC. Both those folder need to be added to the Scenery Library in that order, Dubai, above Dubai_LC. The process of adding them should be the same as any other. If something seems weird, check the scenery.cfg in notepad, delete the entries and re-add them using the FSX Settings page.

I'm having the exact same problem, but for Copenhagen, which I bought today. I've done the described procedure on the document and here, but the folders just dissapear, like AV8oRick said, regardless of the order they were added.
I'm using FSX and Windows 7.

Ok, now I managed to do it.
The scenery.cfg was indeed filled with weird characters, but at first deleting them and the new FlyTampa entries had no effect. A new installation or adding the folders normally would always bring those characters back. I made it work by editing the scenery.cfg with FSX open and adding the folders again...I can't say the exact order I did things now...
Anyway, it seems to be working fine. Congratulations on the beautiful scenery!

My scenery cfg file has no entries pertaining to this scenery. One weird thing is that when I uninstall the product and then start FSX, it starts popping up widows stating it can't find the files. I then open the settings and the scenery library shows all of the times I tried to add the scenery. How can it know this without entries in the scenery.cfg? This is all very strange.
The only thing I haven't tried is re-downloading the executable file. Maybe something is corrupted?

I finally got it! I installed it without the configurator and enabled the texture max load and and it worked! It's just beautiful!
