Re: St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
Thank you for this update.
Is this update : St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
For FSX, P3D v1.4 and P3D V2.0?
Does a previous version like 1.5 have to be uninstalled first?

FSX with SP2, Prepar3D V2. I will no longer be testing and supporting P3d 1.4. Compatibility list here:martyjr wrote:For FSX, P3D v1.4 and P3D V2.0?

If 1.5 was properly Installed without manually copying or renaming the folder in /Addon Scenery/FlyTampa-Maarten/ no uninstall is needed.martyjr wrote:Does a previous version like 1.5 have to be uninstalled first?

No file found.martin[flytampa] wrote:Enter this in the Windows Explorer Search Box, while in the main FSX folder:

There are no PAPI boxes after disabling the "FlyTampa-Marteen" entry (and I confirm it's a messmartin[flytampa] wrote: If this results in nothing, disable the "FlyTampa-Marteen" entry in the scenery library, load default TNCM and see if these PAPI boxes are still there. Note the airport terrain might be a bit messy when running TNCM with the entry deactivated. This is just to see if the Papis are coming from a BGL elsewhere outside the FlyTampa-Maarten folder.

Delete the folder Addon Scenenry/FlyTampa-Maarten/scenery/ (all bgls) completely, then redownload and reinstall 1.7.
Re: St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
Hi
I don’t know if this will help but after updating from V1.6 to 1.7 I did a quick check for the file named maarten_rwy10_papi_units.bgl and that file seems to be only installed if you don’t select the use alternative runway lights option, without it selected I then got the maarten_rwy10_papi_units.bgl file in the scenery folder, then again I did not have any display issues to begin with.
I hope it’s of some use.

Re: St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
Yes, when Installed with the "Alternative Runway Lights", The PAPI units are part of the file TNCM_RWYLights.bgl. I don't see a problem with those either as far as positioning.
Re: St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
Thank you Jim. I just made a test and confirm !hodge001 wrote:I don’t know if this will help but after updating from V1.6 to 1.7 I did a quick check for the file named maarten_rwy10_papi_units.bgl and that file seems to be only installed if you don’t select the use alternative runway lights option, without it selected I then got the maarten_rwy10_papi_units.bgl file in the scenery folder, then again I did not have any display issues to begin with.
If "Alternative Runway lightning (FSX only)" is checked during installation, no "maarten_rwy10_papi_units.BGL" (nor "maarten_rwy10_papi_lights.bgl") is copied to the destination folder
If "Alternative Runway lightning (FSX only)" is NOT checked, the two "maarten_rwy10_papi_units.BGL" and "maarten_rwy10_papi_lights.bgl" are copied
Finally it was my mistake, I believe that P3Dv2 behaves like FSx and I will need some training with this new simulator during my further tuning and setup all the sceneries and add-on I should installed now.
Thanks for all.
PS : the only minor issue is that light seems to be few centimeters right align with the object, see the red light on the below picture (light red spot) :

Re: St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
So the problem was that you had installed into P3D with the Alternative Runway lightning option?
The reason those are FSX only wasn't even the PAPI boxes but the fact that the whole lighting won't work at all in P3D, meaning no visible Light halos.

Re: St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
Hi Martin,
I have a Problem in FSX with St. Maarten and also using FTX Global. Eveything is fine unless the origin FSX photo scenery is missing. Installed is first your scenery, than the library, than the whole ORBX stuff, an at least the fsx St. Maartin file. Even if I put this file higher in the priority than the ORBX files nothing will Change. If your wonderfull scenery is uninstalled I won`t see the FSX St. Maarten photo scenery. Any idea what to do? Saba seemed to be fine. No Problem here. Only at St. Maartin. There is no file in scenery/world/scenery/City/St. Maartin deactivated. Please help.
Thank you!
Regards
Fabian

Re: St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
I'm a bit confused. Does this folderFabian wrote: There is no file in scenery/world/scenery/City/St. Maartin deactivated. Please help.
Fabian
scenery/world/scenery/City/StMaarten/scenery/
contain 2 bgl files, one of them 80MB?
I have FTXGlobal installed and don't see any problem. The Library order is:
Orbx Stuff
FlyTampa-Maarten
City/StMaarten (default)
If I deactivate the default City/StMaarten, there isn't a problem either, it just makes the whole island look like forest and the airport won't quite match it.
Post a screenshot or describe the problem more precisely please.
Re: St Maarten Version 1.7 (FSX & P3D2)
Hi Martin,
thanks for your help. The file St. Maarten was renamed to St.Maarten. That is why I did not see the FSX St. Maarten photo scenery. Everything is fine now.
Happy Sylvester

Could you please tell what other add-ons are being used? The water looks amazing. Just trying to get that same result
