Release planned for both at the same time George (FSX user waiting on the FS9 version?). Or do the FSX user get at it first? :D

The releaser time doesn't really matter (FS9 first or FSX first), what matters is that it's developed for both platforms : )

Everyone just stay calm and fly to some other airports in the meantime : )

Who is not calm? I asked a simple question, nothing chaotic about it.

Calm? Chaotic? Mine was just a simple statement. I could care less about what version is released first or later, no need to make a huge deal of it or a flamewar

I believe (to tuplev154)the offence was taken from the comment "to be calm". For what it is worth my friend, you had intimated to the community previously (your position) in that you did not care about the FSX version as you only fly Fs9. Whilst your enthusiasm is duly appreciated, a contradiction can be heard as you expressed your comment to be calm and Fly to some other place. One would easily derive from this that it does matter if FSX would be released 1st. Look I'm an advocate for both platforms as in recent days FS9 is still more stable than FSX. Your input ensures that there should be some significant consideration for future Fs9 endeavours as it continues to illustrate its resilience. However; the mere fact that both (FSX/FS9) have a difference in architecture, one could justify the release a product independent of the other. Case and point, take a look at the recent release of the Dubai Scenery. How many issues did the Fs9 community experience over FSX? I can only imagine that in this next delivery we may see the same or more. It's not like this approach is foreign to the community. We've seen this with many of the other devs. In the end one can only expect that Martin and the gang will deliver based on their business model. Can't ask for much more than that. Hey bro, no wars just daily conjecture, keeps things interesting you know? that.

hmm... not so sure what is the offence when a statement to be calm, but I guess there is cultural differences or something...

I believe both FS2004 and FSX should be released (and they will), but a lot of people in different forums always are bragging about dropping the FS2004 version of this scenery, this airplane, etc. So me and some other people here (Eastern Europe) simply can't bear this kind of behaviour as flying for FS2004 may be with worse machines, but I am perfectly able to run FSX so it's a matter of taste, not performance. While I agree that "not caring" for the FSX version may be rude, you can see how many comments like these are about FS2004, particularly on qualitywings forums and from guys with the most expensive gaming rigs.

I don't really believe that it's an insult to go and fly somewhere else, personally I mean't it as we have a lot of airports already where we can fly while we wait, which I always do when waiting for an airport. The available sceneries for FS2004 and FSX are huge, along with the selection of airplanes, so I would even take it as a compliment to be told to fly somewhere else in case a scenery is awaiting release.

The constant FPS issues were quite new actually, and what is quite shocking is that it's around the terminals. There has been a patch so I hope next time I fly to Dubai it'll be better. And to be honest, the FPS ain't that bad since it has such a huge city. But, I do believe there will come constant threads about FPS issues for Montreal... While I hope not, I cannot know how well or how bad it will run. Not only FS2004 has issues, but FSX have huge issues with the newly released mega airport Helsinki...

I asked George a simple question about his intentions. If you could care less as you say, then please say nothing.

Both at the same time. You'll get both FSX & FS9 versions for one price like usual.

I did not write the statement specifically for you. Which is why I was quite surprised. Anyway, let's not start a flamewar on an excellent thread about Montreal.

To George and Martin, I would like to see some preview pictures as well. But I understand if not since we're already so close to release :D

They'll be many more previews just before release & maybe a couple of videos.

THe FSX version is complete now, phew.
I'm struggling to find the motivation to start up the FS9 version but I'll have a Redbull or something later.
