Hi there,

VAS refers to Virtual Address Space, more info about VAS is available here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_address_space

As far as how VAS relates to FSX and Prepar3D, there is an article I wrote available here:

2014 wasn't a good year for George[flytampa] development, We lived in a tiny apartment with a newborn baby. Working from home became too distracting. So we bought a house (endless nightmare), packed, shipped, moved in & then the home improvement chores began. Finally we are all happy & settled in. Development time has increased to normal since Christmas.

Myself & Martin (mostly Martin), conducted massive amounts of R & D in 2014. Including the character animations, new vehicle models, jetway animations & many more I forget. Emilios joining the team helped us re-think the dull airport halo lighting & we experimented with a gorgeous new additive lighting system. Also, we found a more efficient way to boost the Frame Rate. Sydney benefitted from a 10-20fps boost from the new techniques, so I've been delighted with the performance on my aging 2600k i7.

Previews will come when it's complete. It's about 98% complete.
2% Seems to be taking a lot of work and time to complete.

Can we have another update please.

I've got no precise ETA but its getting there now.
Not many tasks left on the list as you can see below...

A few static jetways left to place on the Intl Termial. Don't worry there's plenty of animated jets in place already.
Night mapping for the ground/aerial texture. All other night mapping is complete.
Static ramp clutter/vehicle placement
Fix a few drawing order issues with the ground markings.
Polish, fix bugs & optimize.
& finally write the manual.

New shot tonight, More coming soon.

Sounds like a long way off George….but what I see looks fantastic!

Hi George,

With this new technique that gained a 10-20 frame increase for Sydney, can this be adapted to other FlyTampa products already made. I am sure that many like me get close to the limits with slow Frame Rates. To get such a boost with such fantastic scenery would be a welcomed update. Even if there is a cost involved, I would update all my FlyTampa products for this frame rate benefit.

If not, I still look forward to seeing it in Sydney when it comes out.

Thank you for your time to develop such great airports and to read this request.

I'll take a look at FS9 mate, but i think I might have crossed too many forbidden development lines to make fs9 possible.

Are the hangars open? Or are they all closed with the scenery?

It's looking very good, excited to finally have good scenery for Sydney and not have to put up with sand at Sydney Airport with the default scenery!

Cheers!
