Thanks guy's for your replies.

Jas, I agree that more advice is necessary as due to the amount of sceneries I have I am not considering a re-install for this scenery issue.

Just made a flight from Melbourne to Sydney, a perfect flight without issues up to approx.
seven miles from the Sydney airport when the problem appeared.

It affects the land and sea surrounding the airport, which still makes me think that the airport directly or indirectly is causing this issue.

As I wrote previously the problem does not occur when the airport is disabled.

In the scenery folder are 174 bgl ( extra afcad as I have disabled the original due to gate size alterations) and 521 low res texture files.

This is my second installation as I thought that the issue was due to the fact that I had ticked on the option for 4096 textures, results were the same.

Is this what you mean by Specifications?

ATI Radeon 3000-videokaart
NVIDIA GeForce GT440
AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor
Processor speed 2,7 GHz plus Turbo
6GB Memory

You may say that it is not perfect but why have I no issues with FlyTampa Montreal with GEX & UTX for Canada, and other sceneries which are a lot larger than Sydney.

GT440 ? That's near the bottom of the pool and would explain a fair bit. What drivers are you using? FSX settings?

Driver 1.10.62.40 according to my Add-on / Remove programme.

Attached is my normal Scenery settings, reduced level of detail, scenery complex. nothing changed.

What nobody can answer is why I do not get this issue with far more intensive sceneries like Montreal, Mexico City, Los Angeles etc. Despite having UTX & GEX for these regions.

I use the same aircraft, and the flying conditions are the same.

Hate to say it but those are some pretty high settings for a pretty low system. Those Nvidia drivers are also over 2 years old, try updating the drivers with a Clean install.

I expected this reply.

But why does the issue come at this area and strangely not other very high density areas which I fly in and out of in FSX. As I wrote Montreal, Mexico etc are big when it comes to texture size etc.

A re-install is not an option at this moment, which of the setting would maybe reduce the issue at Sydney.

Does installing a new driver need a clean install (not an expert in computers and therefore wary of changing things)

Run the installer from Nvidia and select Custom, from there will be a checkbox to select Clean install. There may likely be something else that's causing the issue, but having such old drivers can't be helping. With such an old videocard you can't expect drivers to fix everything, but it's still a good idea to keep them relatively up to date.

Have Microsoft security Essentials running, could this cause an issue like this graphic one?

I had the same problem. Solved it disabling Sydney LC only in the library. The airport continues good
