Thanks much for the update. I'll need to amend my review.
I have a concern about the update though:
I see what you mean. I updated the FS9 2.1 download above and made an additional separate Performance Update in another thread. Now if you already installed 2.1 and wonder how to get it back the way you want.

1. Empty the FlyTampa-Dubai/scenery/ folder
2. Run the 2.0 installer again
3. Download and the new Update 2.1
4. Download and Install Performance Update (not you)

order of 3 & 4 updates doesn't matter

Man you are amazing! Thank you so much. I actually held off on the update just in case.

Thanks Martin. Still amazed at how good the performance is.

Hi Martin

Fantastic work!!!! My FPS have improved so significantly! I haven't even installed the improved performance exe yet - just the 2.1 update, and the frame rates are already a lot better!

One new problem I'm having - flickering ground textures. Only part of the textures are flickering though. Please see the screenshot below.

*** Edit: Flickering problem solved by deleting the scenery and texture folders and installing fresh.

I do have a new problem though... when approaching the 30L runway threshold... the default runway textures kick-in, and make the ground textures disappear (go black). Is this what was intended?

I have FS9, V2+V2.1+performance exe

Taxiing along Kilo:

Then the textures go like this:

Here's a map. To the right of the red line, the textures go black.

Hi GlobalExpres,

Which add-on is V2+V2.1+performance exe? What does it and where can I find it?

And Martin,

Great job. I now have, on my low-end rig, good performance.

V2+V2.1+performance exe...

V2 - I have downloaded Version 2 of the scenery from my Simmarket account.
V2.1 - is this: http://www.flytampa.org/dwl/FlyTampa_Du ... ate_21.exe
performance exe - is this: http://www.flytampa.org/dwl/FlyTampa_Du ... Update.exe

Well... after no support... managed to fix this issue myself. For some reason, when I install the scenery using the exe and automatically add the scenery to the cfg file I get the error. If I manually install the folder and add it to the scenery cfg, I don't get any errors.

Bizarre! But all fixed up now. :-)

Hi FlyTampa-team,

great work again!

There's a special atmosphere around this scenery; the textures look veeery good.

I run my system with settings maxed to ORBX (oops!) recommendations but I get better frame rates with your scenery plus there's no problem with the memory allocation even if I combine your scenery with some very complex addon-aircraft (I've tested a variety of those with your scenery).

That special touch is even represented well in your FS9 version (usually I find it hard to change back from FSX to FS2004 from the eye-candy-perspective, but this scenery is a treat in FS9 as well).

Since there won't be any further upgrades to this scenery I refrain from asking for moving vehicles and traffic in the FS9 version.

Just one humble suggestion: You might get your updates to simmarket, so people can download them there as well, right from purchase or later by notification from simmarket.

Thank you very much for this scenery and for not forgetting FS9 users!

Rgds, Oliver

Had to reinstall my whole PC and so also my FS. After installing Dubai I wanted to add the 2.1 update and the performance update. But it says that Dubai is not correctly installed.

It's displayed correctly in my FS installation with all folders and also in the library. But if you take a look in the registry where all the other FT airports are listed you will not find Dubai there (Example is Montreal but also Vienna,Boston,...)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\FlyTampa\Montreal

Could you give me a hint please?

System:
Windows 7 x64
Setup as Admin

Thanks :)

Dubai's installer should add its entries to the registry like the other Airports did. Run the Installer again.

Sorry for delay was busy with other stuff and had no time for FS.

I run the installer already around 5 times. With admin rights, no admin rights, with a restart etc. So I'm not able to install the updates :(

Also checked the reg again and still no entry. All other airports have one (CYUL,KBOS,...)

PS: Kaspersky turned off
