Me too.

Just change it from "very big" to "big" and then back to "very big"

A little bit complicated, but maybe it works, too!

I'm having the same issue. All set like it should and never had this befroe
When directly over the threshold it's getting better. But then the next problem appears.
-> the lights are so tiny when flying that you are not able to see the PAPI lights and some others
-> maybe check this, maybe with the same patch to correct ppo out of the taxisigns etc.
Thanks

And again, the same issue here - with my most modern computer with a Geforce GTX670 and (at least) FS2004. I tried the different recommended settings and it do not change anything. The FS2004 is practically brand new with nothing except Mesh scenery and a Wideview driver installed so it is unlikely that any other add-on interferes.
I will also try to install Dubai Rebooted on the other (older) systems in my Wideview setup to see whether I have the same effect with other graphic cards...
Nevertheless, Dubai Rebooted is an impressive masterpiece of scenery artwork. Thank you so much for this incredible scenery!
Best regards,
Markus

Martin, just my investigation,
This issue always happens when you load aircraft far away from the airport and then try to fly towards the lights.
If you load a/c at the airport lights look fine. Flight Simulator just does not want to load the mipmaps of the lights.
PS: my mipmaps setting is 4 and filtering x16

Thanks for the info. I will try to test and confirm this. It is unlikely I will have a solution other then to use default runway lighting (as in all our other sceneries) because I am not aware of any method I could use to force the sim to use the proper mipmaps at the right time. Too many settings on CFG and Gfx-card level can influence the result.

I am pleased to announce that a solution is found. Blurry runway lights is not a problem of the scenery, not a problem of the method, not a problem of the videocard and sim settings, this is just FS9 and probably FSX bug. So, check this topic for the explanation:

I've the impression that this issue is also occurring on my FSX system - any similar experiences here?
