I understand the confusion of AI when there are two gates as such. Here's my recommendation, if you're willing to accept. Put both lines on, name them appropriately, but only add AI parking spot to line 1, and not line 1B. Reason why I recommend this, is line 1 is solely for the use of Airbus aircraft (319, 320, 321), and line B, which is used only to Embraer and Boeing 767 aircraft. 80% of the time at gate 1, there are airbuses for the rapidair service between Montreal and Toronto. Those not using AI such as flying online can use the appropriate line for their type of aircraft. The same idea applies to gate 11 and all those gates on the Transborder side such as 77 and 77B to have separate lines. Just add AI parking to one of the main line to avoid AI confusion.
I have all CURRENT and VALID charts available to Montreal at my disposal, and I would be willing to lend a helping hand with parking assignments.
If you may have noticed, Montreal Airport is divided into three sections. Domestic, Transboarder, International. Air Canada, and Porter, along with a few Jazz flights, use gates 1-15, gates 47,48, 49, are swing gates meaning a flight can land International and leave Domestic, Wesjet and Air Canada use 47-49 domestic and US flights. Gate 50, 51, 52, are mostly used for wide body to International destinations by Air Canada, Air Transat, and a few other International carriers. Gate 55 is the double gate for the A380, and 95% of the time is used only by Air France, 57, 59, 61 are used by Swiss, British Airways, Qatar, and a few other carriers. Air Canada rarely uses those gates unless there are no other gates available. Gates 56, 58, 60 are 90% of the time used by International carriers such as Lufthansa, KLM, RAM, etc. gates 72-77 are Air Canada Transboarder gates, 78, 79, 81, 83, 85 are mostly United Express, American Eagle and American Airlines. Gates 80-89 are US Airways Express, and other various regional airlines, including Jazz at a few gates. The Aeroquay, gates 19A-B, 21A-B, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 32, 34 are all domestic Jazz gates. Gates 25-34 are exclusively for Dash-8 Aircraft. Gates 19AB, 21AB, 23 are used for Dash 8 aircraft as well, but used predominately for CRJ's from Jazz. Gate 17 is used by Air Inuit, First Air, etc.
The East pads, E1, E2, E3 next to the Aeroquay are used for off gate parking for any aircraft not being able to have a gate, used by Air France, Air Transat, and also overnight parking.
The west pads, on the west side of the field are used solely for remote parking, such as overnight parking.
Gates with double parking or TWO lead in lines are as follows. 1 and 1B, 2 and 2A, 11, and 11B, 55 and 55A, 56 and 56B, 73 and 73A, 77, and 77B, 79 and 79A Those secondary lines at gates 77 and 79 are used for smaller regional jet aircraft, as the main line are for larger, B737, A320 type aircrafts. Gate 73 and 73A, A line is used for parking a B767. Line 56 are for widebodies, and 56B are for smaller narrow body aircraft such as 737, etc.
If you can digest and figure out all the information mentioned above, you are good.
Send me a message if you have any questions and I will gladly help out as best I can.
