Rough Runway Ends
@ Jim
The bumpiness varies depending on aircraft. I tested again and this is what I got. Runway 31 with an A330-300 and A340-300: bumpiness is acceptable as the displaced threshold is short enough on that end where you are on the actual runway before it gets nasty (more speed).
On the 13 end however I tested with (CLS) A300-600, A330-200, A340-300. For the A300 it was alittle uncomfortable but I can live with it. With the heavier aircraft however (A330s and A340s) I was expecting the nose gear to collapse at any second. If the roughness is say at a level of 5/5 then bringing it down to a 3/5 would make it perfect in my opinion.
@Martin
With regards to compatibility with Mr Kwong's VHHH, just like someone in another post I noticed double bridges on the approach to 13 before you get to the turn. I think one is yours and the other from the freeware scenery (I am unfamiliar with the real area) so I'm wondering if there are supposed to be two bridges there or just one. On a side note, are there moving airport vehicles because I haven't seen any so far?
Also is it recommended to take these steps in this post here:

Thanks for the test. When I did the smoothness I used the default FS9 aircraft all the way down to the Cess 172. Even though based on its weight and sensitivity values it did bounce a fair amount but never crashed the nose wheel. The heavier the plane the less bounce.
I suppose many 3rd party planes have different levels of sensitivity which I did not test against. Many 3rd party plane designers start off using the Lear jet's .air and .cfg. At that point they rewrite some of the code to fit a heavy type plane. You see this technique used throughout the AI Plane community and it destroys the parking and weight restricted runway codes that I use at some airports.
Moveable traffic
I did place all the Airport ground support moving vehicles in the FSX versions. The Airport vehicle slider must be moved to the right to see all of the vehicles in motion. They travel on their own vehicle paths and do not conflict with aircraft that are taxing. I also added many Fuel Trucks in various locations so the wait for fuel is minimal.
I don't recall if ground support was added to the FS9 version which would have come from Martin. He will have to explain what is in FS9 and the double bridge issue.

Just for clarification, aircrafts do use full thrust in the displace threshold and I'm pretty sure they aren't that much bumpier than the rest of the runway.
Check out this video where the aircraft rotates at the piano keys.

Only one. Its called Tsing Ma bridge._Dre_ wrote:With regards to compatibility with Mr Kwong's VHHH, just like someone in another post I noticed double bridges on the approach to 13 before you get to the turn. I have been in contact with Oliver (AES) to get animated HK buses, stairs etc onto the aprons. This is not in the current AES_HK because there was no time. With AES he can make these airport vehicle animations much nicer then I could because I don't have the means to make traffic stop when crossing a taxiway and such... And all aprons roads at KaiTak cross with taxiways at some point._Dre_ wrote:On a side note, are there moving airport vehicles because I haven't seen any so far?
Just to be clear here; are you saying Oliver is making the regular moving airport traffic (not the AES ones that service your plane) kind of like his AES lite productions?martin[flytampa] wrote:Only one. Applying this patch will also smoothen the threshold:

Thanks Martin. Tested it and it's perfect. I'm no longer nervous about my Airbus' nosewheelsmartin[flytampa] wrote:Applying this patch will also smoothen the threshold:

Now my only issue is increasing my rate of (acceptable) landings to more than 1/3
