hi martin,

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3700+
1GB RAM
ATI RADEON X800GTO 128MB

I can't imagine it has something to do with my hardware, because as I told you all your other scenerys are running like a dream

-CPU should be fine for the FS2004 version
-1GB Ram is "okay" if you're running Windows XP, a 2nd GB won't hurt of course.

- X800GTO is the problem I think. I don't personally know this card, but if it is like the one shown in these charts it is way under-spec to run Hong Kong. On a second look, NV 6800, ATI 800XL, all the cards shown in this particular chart from 2006 won't give you great perf.

A cheap Nvidia 8600 GT or better should do wonders in your system. 256MB versions can be found as low as $70. Your fps should at least double with that, you would be jumping not 1 but 2 generations of Gfx cards. Unless of course you're stuck with AGP or PCI?

me again,

I managed to get better and more stable frames and this is what I did:

First I deletet the hk_lc.bgl file, as recommended in another threat.
This gave me a little bit of a better performance, but not enough.
Then I createt a paging file for my FS9 partition and this was not just the key for a playable Hong Kong scenery also all over the FS world even better performance than before!

i normally watch the forum here after a release for a little bit just to see opinion but more importantly system response and specs associated. i would like to give mine and see if anyone has anything to add if they will

Dell XPS 400 DXP051
Pentium D CPU 3.00GHz/2.99 GHz (is this dual core?, kinda comp illiterate)
3.00 GB of RAM (dont know specifics, PONY something, $90 for 2 1GB sticks at best buy)
ATI RADEON X600 256 MB
Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2
FS 2004 9.1

dont really know anymore than that because i dont know how to find the numbers for stuff like the Motherboard and other things that i have seen guys write on here

At TNCM in the PMDG 737 2D panel looking down rnwy 09 i get about 20 FPS, KMDW same a/c looking down rnwy toward cityscape about 15 or so, all sliders maxed, ai 100%, dawn/dusk blend disabled, anti off in FS, bilinear, draw distance minimum, all test done with building storms (generic fs weather choice), no shadows, minimal visual for a/c etc.. played with FS9.CFG once in a while (no huge differences) had fs rebuild it recently, 1280x1024x32 on the display in fs...in graphic card options i have 2x on anti-alias, 8x on ansio (OpenGL) and in Direct3D i have 2X for both (are these one in the same OpenGL and Direct, they look it) so, i know someone on here knows whether there is anything i can do to get a little more juice out of this thing, or maybe not but i give a big thank you to anyone that responds that either has similar equipment or area of expertise in tweaking :D

oh yeah, the original question....KaiTak for this computer without a flip-book like effect or no? Thanks again
