Thank you for the update. It is appreciated. Just a quick question about KLAS. The default centerline greens are misplaced and unevenly spaced along with the fact they lack the alternating Orange/Green color pattern on runway exits used at most airports. So with this in mind, will the taxi lighting at KLAS be updated to your custom model like at YSSY?george[flytampa] wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 2:46 pm Amsterdam, Toronto, Athens are in late development for MSFS.
Corfu and Boston are coming a bit later.
It's not been a straight road the last few years.
Ever since P3D4 or was it 4.5, introduced PBR materials, it has increased the airport workload. We all had to learn new techniques in a short space of time. The visual look of the PBR materials were constantly changing with every update.
Xplane11 got a lot stronger, more stable and was worth some time away from the traditional simulators.
MSFS hit us all by surprise. Blown away actually. But we had another new SDK to learn.
We've created a bunch of MSFS libraries. 100s of new PBR objects to replace the older low polygon, non PBR models.
We've all have had family issues, some good, some bad.
I'm working on Athens so can't comment on the other airports. Originally (years ago) ATH was nothing more than a installer update. Then P3D4.5 arrived and required new PBR materials. Since the original FSX release, the new ATH is 90% rebuilt and I've hired a record number of 3d artists to help out.
P3D might have to wait a bit. MSFS is the clear winner of our time for now. It's a delight to work on.
My opinion; Legacy versions of P3D like V4.5, are unlikely to get large scale updates again. V5.5+ maybe.

Really disappointed to see that KATL will not be done by FT. Have a lot of fond memories of KATL as I was born and raised in the Atlanta area.george[flytampa] wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 2:46 pm Amsterdam, Toronto, Athens are in late development for MSFS.

I appreciate the update of what is being worked on and am excited to see Amsterdam, Athens, Boston and Corfu for MSFS. Once you have time to consider new projects, please consider KDTW or KLAX. I know LAX is one of the detailed default airports in MSFS, but it would be splendid to have an FT version.
Best regards,
Corey

Re: KATL yellow on map
A post that was dated 1 June, 2021 on the PMDG site indicated that FlyTampa has pulled the plug on ATL because it didn't fit their plan.

Those are the default ms lights. We developed the custom lights because we didn't like them for the same reasons. They came too late for Vegas but Emilios could add them when he gets time.
