Amsterdam MSFS - optimisation

Love the new scenery,

Is there any ability to turn off the terminal interiors and ramp clutter for more fps?

A lot of people would greatly appreciate the ability to taylor the performance further, is there no official statement on this? Is there any way we could turn off the interiors and ground clutter?

I can't talk for AMS, its Emilios's decision.
But I recently tested Boston and Athens without 3d Characters and Interiors. It resulted in ZERO fps performance gains.

Since AMS doesn't have 3D people already, Your chances of gaining even a single FPS gain are very slim.

Best you reduce AI and play with the MSFS graphics settings if you want to see a significant fps gain. Or ultimately upgrade GPU and CPU when possible.

fair play.

thanks for the input. makes sense, I can tell that this is a very well optimised scenery, even with interiors and ground clutter, there are other sceneries far worse and they are far smaller than EHAM!

Indeed, like George said, the expected benefit from removing these features would be negligible. Neither of these features are resource-heavy and basically each individual element is a clone of each other and even the whole interior (which is simplistic on purpose) disappears when you move away from the ‘front-row’ parking area.

Unfortunately there is little else to do for improving performance further with configurable items.
