FlyTampa-LasVegas MSFS Frames in the teens, until..
Hey y'all, first off, this is one beautiful scenery!! I actually feel like I'm there, but , the frame rates drop into the teens when in the area....so I am there in slow motion.
As soon as I fly just a few miles out, toward the Hoover dam/ Grand canyon direction, the frame rate jumps back up into the 50's, I have tried lowering and changing video settings, clearing out the rolling cache, different planes, yada yada, nothing seems to fix it. If I pan back to the scenery you can see the frame hit, and when I flay back into the area it drops back into the teens.
Kinda reminds me of the same issue Orbx had with KBUR, they said that you cannot have one huge area, it must be several small areas put together somehow, but don't quote me on that.....
Are there any settings that can be changed that might help?
thanks guys, it is AWESOME though!
GO BUCS!!

thanks!
It will depend a lot on your graphics settings. There is a lot of data in the package with both the city and airport, so if your specs are not fairly recent, you might need to reduce them a notch. What is your setup?

EVGA Z390 Dark ; i9 9900k ; 32gig Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200 ; EVGA 2080 RTX ; Creative Audigy Rx ; Windows 10 Pro M.2 Samsung EVO 970 ; LG 2560x1080 Ultrawide ; Samsung 1920x1080 (2nd monitor/extended Destop) ; EVGA Supernova 1200 P2 PSU ; WD Gaming HDD's (High Quality Performance Drives) Fully updated all the newest drivers.
I keep my system pretty tight, I do a lot of gaming so I'm constantly updating drivers, MSFS is on it's own 2 TB drive.
My setting are mixed, I use a custom tune on MSFS settings for best performance with the best look.
I'm mixed on the rolling cache, but I do run the Photogrammetry? and Bing data..
Do you think I might need to disable the MSFS default Vegas?

As I already wrote down in the topic created before, the Vegas city is to be blame. I moved the flytampa-lasvegas-city out of the community folder to bring back the FPS to normal

Interesting, but they had to have tested it?
I wonder if there might be something with the download?
.....just spit-balling.

Re: FlyTampa-LasVegas MSFS Frames in the teens, until..
With the 1.1 update it's MUCH better, still can't use traffic AND most importantly I'm still getting drops into the teens, out of nowhere.
I THINIK it might be something other then the scenery though, it seems random as I circle the area, BUT it does have to do with turning back towards the airport while flying over the city.
Strange, when it's not getting that frame (who knows where it's coming from) hit it's a steady 30 to 40 FPS with overcast skies!!

UPDATE:
As I saw here in the forums, I pulled the airport file out of the community folder and now it works flawlessly, addons high weather air traffic the whole thing, works perfectly now. So, for now, I'm going to keep it out.
I guess my system isn't strong enough to handle both at once, but at least this default airport isn't as horrible as some of the other default ones.

I maybe wrong. From what I am seeing seeing the texture quality is probably much too high for what most gpus can handle.I am running a 2060super and its certainly not playable. Compared to other places like payware KORD.I will start removing the city first!

Re: FlyTampa-LasVegas MSFS Frames in the teens, until..
I am getting the same issue. I first load in and the FPS is great getting around 40-50fps. Then out of nowhere using the drone camera near the city, my FPS drops into the teens 15-18fps and it stays that way even when I fly back over to the airport. I remove the "flytampa-lasvegas-city" folder and the FPS is back up to 40-50fps. Keep in mind that I'm running an RTX 3080 and an I7-9700k. Something in the city seems to be causing the issue.

@Majortom1990 For sure.I removed the city and my fps is back up a bit. As much as I don't look like the look of the photogrammetry city I will have to live with it for now.My full specs i5 8400 rtx2060super 32gb 2560x1440 most settings on ultra, few high and medium.Mods installed including FBW A32NX.
