Toronto ADE/Afcad files P3D
Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
is YYZ satellite going to be updated with the new gates for Encore and the multi levels? i.e., A2 now being B2A/C
Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
Its been a long time coming, but here finally is an updated ADE set for Jan 2018.
Big changes, including the addition of Taxiway F, some cleaning up of the GA parking at Skyservice, addition of parking for the Morningstar Caravans at the FedEx apron, and massive changes to the gates. For example Sunwing, Jet Airways and Etihad have all moved from T1 to T3, there have been new airlines into YYZ since the scenery was originally released like China Southern, Aer Lingus and Interjet.
I've also kind of hacked the Westjet Encore parking area at the T3 satellite, by adding 4 spaces there even though the gates are not present in the scenery. But there is such a massive pinch on gates up in T3 that it kind of has to be done. Hopefully at some point Martin might be able to add the actual gates to the scenery.
Please be aware in real life there are way more aircraft that park at T3 than FS can handle. Many aircraft park at T3 and are then towed off to remote parking before being towed back later on. You would not believe the number of tows daily at YYZ, its a staggering amount.
Sadly there will be overflow parking everywhere at peak times if you run AI at 100%. The infield terminal will be used and there really is no way to prevent it from happening without AI just not appearing.
As always its a a battle of compromises with the default AI engine and what it can cope cope with.
I have literally just finished these, so they have not been tested yet. I'll do more testing and possible tweaking and refining over the coming days but I thought I might as well get these out to you now as the wait has been so long.

Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
Thanks ATCO for the AFCAD will it work for the FSX version?
Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
Probably, there shouldn't be anything P3D specific in the ADE. I've moved on from FSX though so I can't be sure. I would back up your current ADE, give the new one a test and see
Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
First thanks for this update the importance of realistic afcads is underappreciated by developers. Is this compatible with 1.4 p3d v4.2 and also I am on the lookout for a GSX.ini file to help customize GSX here.atco wrote:Probably, there shouldn't be anything P3D specific in the ADE. Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
I'm also wondering whether these ADEs are compatible with the April 2018 update and SODE. Does anyone know?

Hello!
Thoughts on updating the file. It has worked incredibly but with so many changes in the last year would be awesome to get a new file by ATCO. Thanks!!

Hey Garry, atco wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2015 2:40 pm I'm going to be here and happy to answer any questions any of you have regarding the ADE files and operations at CYYZ itself.
It is my plan to keep the ADE's constantly updated to reflect real life operations at the airport as much as possible.
People familiar with the airport will know that taxiway F has recently been extended to run the full length of 33L and taxiways M1, M3 and M have been renamed F1, F3 and F respectively.
This was discussed with FlyTampa but wasn't feasible at the late stage of development and without suitable ground imagery at this time.
I would ask please that before asking anything please do read the documentation supplied. I tried hard to answer the most basic questions in there.
Just want to add my formal thanks to FlyTampa for this absolute masterpiece. It is by a million miles the best, most realistic rendition of CYYZ there has ever been for any flight simulator.
Cheers
Garry
No matter which afcad I choose, I only get commands for 24L / 23 departures 24R/23 landings.
Any sugggestions?
Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
Hello all,
Time for an update for 2019.
Its getting harder and harder to keep this airport accurate. There are just nowhere near enough gates, so the airport has to endure around 100 tow movements a day. Then you have airlines with massively long layovers like China Southern who land and then get towed to remote stands for almost 7 hours before departing again, which is impossible to replicate in this current engine.
Everything is a compromise which is why sometimes you will see something parking where it shouldn't. Its the huge limitations of the engine that are deeply frustrating but there is no way around them.
For example its common to see United aircraft parked at remote stands because all the narrowbody stands at T1 get filled by Air Canada and Rouge. One of the many reasons is that the engine loads bgl files alphabetically, so if your traffic files are named in alphabetical order it will fill the parking in accordance with the codes as it goes through - This is often why by the time it loads United, there are no spaces left for it and it gets kicked to an unoccupied remote stand.
Anyway, parking has been updated for 2019 to accomodate the many changes. A number of airlines have come and gone, like FlyJamaica, Jet Airways and WOW Air are all gone and newcomers include Ukraine International, Air Italy and the return of Air India. There's been some changing of gate assignments as for example Azores is now A321LR only instead of A330, and Aer Lingus went from the 757 to A330 a while back and ELAL have gone from the 767 to 787-9.
These ADE files are for the newest, latest version and are designed for P3DV4. They may possibly work in older versions of P3D and FSX but no promises.

Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
Hi Jerry,
You should never be offered 24L for departures, its never used for departures unless 24R is closed.
With the Triple_Base ADE you will be offered either 05/06L or 23/24R for departures and 05/06R or 23/24L for landings.
Do you have any conflicting ADE files somewhere, because using any of my ADE's won't result in you being offered 24L or 06R to depart from at all?

Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
Hi!
How can I send traffic to rwy 33L/R?
How can I send traffic to rwy 33L/R?
Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
You will need to change the file extension from your current active ADE file from .bgl to .off then from my zip file put the CYYZ_ADEX_FLYTAMPA_TRIPLE_RW1533_15NOV2019.bgl into your Toronto/Scenery folder and you will have the 33s (and 15s) active.
Note that with this file active you will not have any traffic using the 3 East/West runways. If you wish to go back to the 05/06/23/24 combo you will have to turn your RW1533 .bgl to .off and use one of the other ADE files depending on your preferred operation.
Re: Toronto ADE/Afcad files
Will the MSFS version also get a proper ADE that works well with AIG? Currently, I heard that AI planes are completely random on this scenery as there are no gate assignments...
