Athens LGAV P3D Release?

Post by markosp » Thu Feb 20, 2020 11:36 am

Hi all,

Do you know whether the LGAV Athens scenery for P3Dv4 has been abandoned?
It is behind scheduled 2 years now.. Should we expect something or not? An if yes, WHEN?

Many thanks

I wonder the same thing about ATL. Some sign of life would be great :)

There is a good chance that the FT developers are actively weighing their platform priorities with the new sim being released later this year. I imagine figuring out the logistics of this has delayed their current projects, and/or has added even more work to their plate. I'm sure that FT is not the only developer going through this, as well.
With a little luck, they may be fortunate enough to have already dabbled with the new SDK and will pleasantly surprise us at some point. Until then, when they are ready to update their customers, I'm confident that they will do so.

Stay healthy everyone!

Would love KATL right about now. Social distancing and not being able to go anywhere, it would sure bring a smile to have this beauty to fly in and out of for the next few weeks.

Its not been abandoned. ATH is at a very advanced stage.

One of our very best freelance developers died.

I spent a lot of time on other projects. Xplane ports, Vienna update, Sydney update, learning Substance Painter, Alchemist, Quixel Mixer, important for PBR textures in the future. Two new sims to play with have also been a fun distraction.
I think we will have a lot of sceneries come out over the upcoming months. Maybe one in the next few days. There's just been a tremendous amount of new tools and techniques to learn this year. The questions we don't answer, not being rude, just don't know.

Take care
