If you have elevation issues at the airport please de-activate FTX airport elevation from below:

>>> in \Scenery\World\Scenery
ADE_FTX_SCA_KLAS_elevation_adjustment.BGL.OFF

On my side, with FTX SOCAL and FTX Vector, I had to disabled :

c:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Scenery\World\Scenery\ADE_FTX_SCA_KLAS_elevation_adjustment.BGL

... and :

c:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_NA_SCA05_SCENERY\scenery\ADE_FTX_SCA_KLAS.bgl
c:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_NA_SCA05_SCENERY\scenery\ADE_FTX_SCA_KLAS_CVX.bgl
c:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_NA_SCA05_SCENERY\scenery\FTX_SCA_objects_KLAS_PLC.bgl

... and finally disabled AEC pour KLAS make it works finally !

Just went through the same process (as I had fully expected to be necessary) and I can independently confirm that Vincent's procedure is the way to go!

If all else fails just search in the vector folder for anything KLAS. Sometimes there are duplicates. Always double check even after running the AEC.

When flying, the Las Vegas city ground textures sporadically fall downward, leaving temporary square craters with floating buildings. I removed all the listed ORBX files and excluded KLAS. What am I missing? I have a GTX 1080Ti, 32 Gb RAM, i7-7700K at 4.2 GHz, Win 10 Pro, P3DV4.5. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have this too. FS Global Ultimate NG was the culprit, so deactivating it for North America in the scenery library solved the issue. Maybe you have that or some other custom mesh installed? Emilios is working on looking into the issue I believe.

Or as I read in another thread...use the PILOT's AFM Configurator to install a KLAS entry. No need to deactivate the whole FS Global North America.

Several of us have tried it and it doesn't work for everyone.

First off... Incredible scenery and all the hard work really shows.

I knew I would need to fix the elevation issues from ORBX, but I'm having more trouble than I thought. I disabled KLAS in the vector configuration tool. But I cant seem to find the files to disable. I dont have the directories listed above (specifically scenery world) Can someone help me find these files... can they be in another directory or only program files?

Thank you
Paul

This is normally the full path

C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Scenery\World\scenery\

there, will be a file named ADE_FTX_SCA_KLAS_elevation_adjustment.BGL (please rename that file to ADE_FTX_SCA_KLAS_elevation_adjustment.BGL.OFF)

I have tried everything that has been mentioned here. I can't get the elevations corrected. Never have I had a package that was so difficult in terms file manipulation in all my years of simming. The installer does not allow you to put it in the main folder if it is outside of program files x86. I'm about to give up. This shouldn't be this difficult. If anyone has an idea I'm listening. Thanks for letting me vent my frustration. I am using 4.5.

I utilized the FSGUNG AFM2, listing KLAS, and the problem continues to exist. I don't plan on deactivating North America, as there are several mountainous areas that I enjoy experiencing. Is it possible that the FT KLAS elevation areas, including the city, are fixed so that this problem doesn't occur? I'm surprised that this wasn't discovered during beta testing. It's beautiful scenery. I look forward to it working flawlessly. Thanks, in advance, for any advice or assistance you can provide.
