Elevation issues with Orbx

Having elevation issues with Orbx Global, Open LC and Southern California regions installed. Not running Vector at the moment? Any BGLs I need to turn off or other solutions? Thanks

I think the SoCal also contains an airport elevation correction for KLAS. Please run a search for 'KLAS' within "P3Dinstallation folder\ORBX" and it should bring up an altitude file (rename it to *.off).

Ive got three KLAS files.

KLAS.BGL
KLAS_CVX.BGL
objects_KLAS_PLC.BGL

If you have SCA from Orbx remove the file ADE_FTX_SCA_KLAS_elevation_adjustment.BGL from here (Drive letter):\Prepar3D v4\Scenery\World\scenery I also disabled AEC in Orbx Vector Tool for KLAS

FTX SoCal is causing problems as well, not just vector. We have discovered you need to disable at least 3 files from SoCal and possibly more.

Strange as I have all the Orbx areas and found only by removing above file and in the vector tool disabling KLAS all was fine.

There is a relevant thread here for another Vegas add-on, but i also think you should only need the elevation adjustment tweak mentioned above.

@emilios[flytampa] I followed that and removed files it stated when I had the other scenery, placed them back in when I bought yours did what I mentioned above and all was good.

Hi,

I applied all the tweaks discussed above, and it seemed to work for the airport, but now looking at the scenery around the airport, it seems the terrain is dipping around the aircraft as I fly around, such that the buildings appear to be floating in the air.

I am also using Pilots FS Global Ultimate NG mesh, but as I understand it, ORBX should have already superseded it with SoCal.

Does the issue get fixed if you de-activate the FS Global mesh?
