Loading to P3DV4

Post by Joe D » Tue Jan 29, 2019 6:56 pm

Hi Team,

I just moved to P3DV4 /Win 10.

I'm trying to install Sydney and then the patch. However, when I try to do the main installer it will not let me pick the path and it won't give me the option to click next.

Any fix?

Run as admin & point it towards your Prepar3D folder. Wherever the Prepar3D.exe is located.
It should do it automatically if P3D is installed.

I recently had a major computer crash and will be ordering a new one in a few weeks. I will finally be making the jump to P3DV4 and was wondering if YSSY was going to be updated soon for P3DV4? I'd rather hold off until the update instead of trying to get it to work now.

And do the new installers (CYUL, CYYZ for example) install using the XML method?

I recently retired my FSX and the PC it was on - ie last month.

Built a new PC with more grunt.

Updated to P3D v4.4 finally.

George's YSSY works flawlessly for me in P3D. Just had to pay attention to the install procedure as expected.

To answer your question, YSSY is P3D v4.4 ready. So far the performance (smoothness and frames) have well and truly superceded FSX by a considerable factor - and most of my settings are very high.

Only waiting to purchase an AI aircraft program and that will reduce the frames a little I expect.

I'm also on Win 10 Pro 64 bit.

If it works on my rig, it definitely should on yours too.

Rgds,

Steve
