Hi
I've noticed that A330 aircraft don't park at these gates.
Is there a fix for this issue or are there plans in the future to
correct this? Other wise the airport looks great.
cheers

Re: Qantas and Virgin domestic gates
It could be down to AI radius or airline codes; everyone's ai seems to be different.
It's best you mod the afcad yourself with ADE.

Re: Qantas and Virgin domestic gates
Thanks George for quick reply.
The strange thing is I have had Qantas A330 aircraft park
at the Qantas Domestic terminal in recent times without doing
any modifications. But after a recent FSX installation it seems
to have returned back to no parking at these gates.
Strange I know, I will have a look at the AFCADS.

Re: Qantas and Virgin domestic gates
Grant, I just checked the default AFCAD file, and neither the QF or VA domestic gates are sized to suit an A330.
There's 2 gates at the JQ pier which are able to fit larger aircraft.
You need to find an aircraft editor program like AIFPv3 and check the aircraft's parking radius fits inside the parking space size listed on the AFCAD (use ADE9).
Best to modify the parking node size in ADE9 to suit, rather than modifying the Aircraft. You'll need to move the node around a bit in the editor in order for it to fit at the gate correctly.

Re: Qantas and Virgin domestic gates
Hi Sam
In regards to AFCADS etc I'm completely at a loss as to know
what to do.
But here's the good news. As mentioned in my previous post, I did
have Qantas A330 aircraft park at the appropriate gates with no
overlapping of other aircraft. I now have it back. From what I recall,
I started a flight at the end of R34L and that got everything back to normal.
Don't ask me why.
The only aircraft that doesn't park where it should is the VA A330
that seems to park at the Int terminal.(I can live with that)
Thanks for your help Sam
cheers
