besides removing the file mentioned on the patch, i had to remove also marteen_grasses.bgl and marteen_grasse_lib.bgl for the senery to work without P3D CTD. strange.....TheAsamra wrote:Hi from my KTPA, TNCM and Grenadines scenery's, i only have problem with St. Marteen, the P3D, loads to 100% then crashes to desktop, tryed to connect on St. Barths, ok then after take off it CTD, any solution?

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
Great work on the updates so quickly!
Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
For what it's worth: I also have crashes in Vienna at night with the patch. Without it the scenery doesn't crash at night, but of course I have grass peeling through the ground textures and runways missing. I had uninstalled Vienna completely and then done a fresh install (with and without the patch).
It also only crashes once you look East towards runways 16/34. Looking west the sim doesn't crash at night.
So, I guess for the time being I will be flying in and out of Vienna during day-time only
.
Seems to affect quite some people. So perhaps worth a new update?
Edit: I also just noticed that the Library installer is somehow messing up the path for the correct installation: My install path for all Flytampa sceneries is: E:\Prepar3D Add-Ons\FlyTampa. After running the library installer there is a new folder being created: E:\Prepar3D Add\FlyTampa. I moved those files back to the correct folder, but it may be worthwhile a check. Could also be related to the UTF-16 encoding?
Somehow it can't handle the hyphen "-"...

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
Thanks George, must have been a messed up install somehow, no idea how as its a clean P3D V4, but I did as you suggested and now both YYZ and YUL look fine. Sometimes this sim can be really strange!george[flytampa] wrote:Regarding Montreal, try starting again, there maybe some old files lingering.
Uninstall it, make sure all the montreal bgl files are gone. Check the default scenery loads.
Now install again from your original exe.
Install the patch & check it asks to overwrite the original files.
Thank you again for the very fast updates, V4 really breathes new life into these wonderful sceneries. Can't wait to see what you can do with V4 as it matures
Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
I've had to reinstall p3d v4 twice now due to the old installers mishandling the UTF-16 encoding in some of the config files. I think V4 installers will be needed.

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
Got KBUF working and it looks awesome! 60fps with weather, and at night. Very impressive. Even turning my graphics down on FSX it still sometimes had lag spikes. I cannot wait to get it back in to Aerosofts US Cities X Buffalo/Niagara Falls to finally see the full area in all of its glory again.

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
TNCM hangs on 100% here also. None of the solutions proposed in this post has worked.
Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
Hi,
I have installed Sydney into P3Dv4 and have low res walls and no safegate showing.
I am not sure how to look at the order of the scenery in P3Dv4 yet so do not know how to check the order of the folders being loaded.
I remember vaguely in P3D V3 I had to ensure teh FlyTampa libraries where above some other libraries to get the safegate to work.
Cheers,
Alex B

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
The location of the FlyTampa-Libraries in the Scenery Database shouldn't matter. Check the Scenery Complexity Slider in P3D Scenery Settings as well as Texture Resolution under P3D Display Settings.
Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
Montreal crashing with custom winsock enabled, stock winsock works ok.
Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
When the native P3D v4 will be available?

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
I also noticed that the Windsock at Amsterdams Runway 24 is showing the wrong direction of wind.
I had westerly winds on take-off yet the windsock was turned 180°.

Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
+1 Is there a timeline on the natives? Would we be receiving an email and updated DL links?
Re: Prepar3DV4 Compatibility Updates
Just to bring the Vienna night crash issue up again: Are you working on fixing it? Just want to make sure this doesn't get lost
.
Thanks,
