Installation Aborts

Hi there, I am trying to reinstall my Tampa Dubai Rebooted and I'm getting an invalid serial error and the installation aborts both for FSX and FS9. I am using cut and paste from my original email order details. I am running as Admin, so what is the problem ? It never happened on my old PC.

I just checked your order, it was from 2007. So it is the older FS9 Dubai V1. The serial won't work with "Dubai Rebooted 2.4". If you want to reinstall the old V1 for FS9 that will work, let me know and I can send you a link for that.

I applied to BMT Micro for the links to my order and they sent links for Dubai Rebooted 2.4 for both FS9 and FSX. I assumed it was the latest version of the software, that I bought originally

I have tried the version 1.0 for FS9 which I found on my external back up hdd and you are right the installer accepts the serial.

Can I purchase an upgrade or do I have to buy it outright all over again ? I would like it in both sims.

You would have to purchase again. The products labeled "Rebooted" are completely new builds as opposed to just updates. The new Dubai-Rebooted will give you FS9/FSX/P3D downloads and if you had the old v1 installed just now, you will notice the difference right away. Its recommended you remove the Dubai entry from he scenery library and delete FS2004/Addon Scenery/FlyTampa-Dubai/ prior to installing the new one.

OK Thanks Martin, I will purchase again then, I think it will be worth it............ I didn't actually install the older one , I just wanted to check if the installer would accept the serial. I think because I purchased it with the St. Marteen complete which did get updated I confused the Dubai product with the rebooted version.
