elevation issues

Post by matty » Thu Jun 11, 2015 8:42 am

Hey George.

First of all let me congratulate you and the whole FT-team on the release of Sydney Intl. It truely is fantastic and I love it!
Nonetheless, I ran into some issues with the airport elevation (at least I think that is the case), no biggies for me but maybe this can be looked into still.
For example the entrances of the 'General Holmes Drive' (M1) underpass are not open but burried in a pile of terrain or what you may call it.

In the 'ADX LiveLook' video however, I've noticed these entrances to be open as I thought they should.
I am running the scenery along with FTX AU, FTX Vector, and FS Global. Switching off either of these addons unfortunately did not solve the issue. I also tried deactivating 'FlyTampa-Sydney_LC', but still no difference.
Any ideas on this matter?

Thanks and regards,

Matty

PS: Forgot to mention, I am using FSX (gold edition).

Restart fsx & the tunnel should render correctly.

If you still have issues, do you have any mesh packages installed?

Tried to restart several times but the issue persists.
As for the mesh, I am using 'FS Global 2010 FTX Compatible'. Disabling the mesh package did not help either.

What's your FSX Settings Mesh Resolution set to?

Some longshots to try.
Make sure Sydney is above Orbx in scenery database.
Tried the Orbx Vector AEC Corrections?

Found the culprit!
A freeware package from OZx that provides Australia with POIs and smaller airstrips was enabled in the scenery library. Disabling the package fixed the issue.

as per another thread here only this file needs to be disabled . mwl_ZSSY_AFX.bgl

not the whole OZx

Nice! Would be good to know what that file actually is good for though.

AFX files are generally airport files, aka afcads.
