P3Dv2.5
Hi Guys,
Do the folder structure changes that LM have made to P3Dv2.5 have any implications for Flytampa scenery products. I personally haven't tried installing any yet as I'm waiting for Orbx to patch their products for v2.5 before I update to it.
As far as I'm aware these are the changes made:
Terrain.cfg:
Old location: P3D2 root folder
New location: C:\\Users\[your name]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
SimObjects:
Old location: Within "Prepar3D.cfg" located in C:\\Users\[your name]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
New location: Now it's own "SimObjects.cfg" located in C:\\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
Addon Scenery folder:
Old location: P3D2 root folder
New location: Removed entirely
I seem to remember Flytampa addons were installed to the "Addon Scenery" folder - if so could be an issue here!?!?

Re: P3Dv2.5
I don't think any of the items you listed is an issue for our P3D installers. You still select the root P3D folder and the airport will get installed into /Addon Scenery/FlyTampa-XXXX/
The /Addon Scenery/ folder will just be created if it isn't there.

Hi,
Are you saying that I can re-install Montreal, Copenhagen and Boston in to P3D v2.5 without a problem? I also want to purchase Toronto and is that compatible as well?

Re: P3Dv2.5
Correct, except maybe Boston, That one we haven't tested for P3D much and the KBOS Installer is FSX only but can be tricked to install by a dummy FSX.EXE inside the P3D folder.Rolfspan wrote:Hi,

Re: P3Dv2.5
I have KBOS running in P3D 2.5 and it seems to be ok so far. Just rename P3D.exe to FSX.exe, run the installer for KBOS, and then change the name back to P3D.exe.martin[flytampa] wrote:Correct, except maybe Boston, That one we haven't tested for P3D much and the KBOS Installer is FSX only but can be tricked to install by a dummy FSX.EXE inside the P3D folder.Rolfspan wrote:Hi,
