I tried basically every combination I can think of to get the two hold short nodes to work correctly. As of now, it's the only way that they work on MY computer. I guess it could be different for some of you. AI Taxi speed should be set to 15-20 KIAS. The worst problem that I saw was that some aircraft would hold short until I rebooted flight sim, but I think that has been avoided on all taxiways.

George and ken,
IF i'm thinking right, here it may NOT be the FT afcad that is the issue,
do either of you have a BGL decompiler that works?

I've gotten rid of the hold short problem by eliminating the runway crossing nodes on 16L/34R (NOT the hold short nodes). I've also added more parking here and there (call it overflow parking) and tweaked the AFCAD to conform more to PAI recommended radius standards. As far as the airline parking codes goes, I've tweaked them for my own AI, so you may have to open the file with AFCAD and set them the way you like them. I've changed QXE (Horizon) to ASAX and SKW (Skywest) to UALX or DALX, depending on who they're flying for, and JZA (Jazz) to ACAX. Again, this is how I have my own AI set up and it's easier for me to update AFCADs in this way since the airlines sometimes have more than one regional carrier. I've also tweaked the cargo area to handle my smaller cargo carriers (FedEx regional and Ameriflight). Be sure to back up your old af2_flytampa_ksea.bgl file in case you do not like mine and want to revert back to theirs. Thanks for a great start Kenneth, and no harm meant. I just had to tweak it for my own personal preferences.

I was able to fix the problem by using the simple fix seen here: http://afcad.projectai.com/documents/ti ... tnodes.htm
Now all arriving traffic merrily crosses the other runway with no delays, no backups, and no go-arounds.  :D
The scenery is awesome...kudos to the team!!!

That's the method I used in the above attached file, though, with a bit of free license since some of the taxiways make a turn as they meet 16L/34R.

Yep, agreed with that. The procedure had to be modified just slightly to accomodate the taxiway arrangement...was a fun project! :)

George - would you consider sharing yours with the group? Sounds as if you modified only the crossing taxiways?

Thanks for considering.

Joe, I would love to share, but I did make a few other changes. I fixed up the parking spots in the cargo area to be large enough to accomodate desired traffic, and added a small parking area for my own cargo airline...
If I get the time I will make another version of it without the cargo modifications... :)

I think you should give fair warning to the people who download that AFCAD. Project AI has come up with tweaks but aren't to be followed blindly. You're essentially removing the hold short node which will have aircraft crossing the runway at very unrealistic times.

Yep, I certainly agree with that. I am not "following it blindly" as you put it, I am well aware of the runway incursions. Personally, I would rather have that going on than a line of stuck aircraft that cause go-arounds for everyone until they disappear. I watched the stock AFCAD for a long period of time before I changed it, and basically the "stuck" aircraft never moved due to the departures going on the other runway. The only change in position occured when one "timed out".
All a matter of choosing your desired evil...

yeah, I didn't mean to sound offensive, I just want people to be aware of what they're downloading.
