Just started happening 2 days after installing scenery. The aricraft starts hopping about on taxiways and all runways periodically. I also noticed that in Tower vie the jetways disappear but thats kind of not important. I have re installed the software to no avail. Fram rates are fine. perhaps a 2 sec delay when chaning views but apart from that its great.

System:
PENTIUM 4 3.0 GHZ
RAM: 1056
200 GB SATA
Nvidia 128 6600 GT

I have noticed in since installing Mega Scenery Dallas Fort Worth so am going to play a bit tonight to see if i can isolate the issue

This bump on runways 4 is a known bug , its listed in the release thread and the Midway PDF manual. Both runways have been closed in the Afcad for that reason.

The bump itself is not caused by our Midway scenery, it is also present when using the default KMDW scenery and it cannot be flattened, hardened or whatever else we tried. All we know is that it is caused by a Microsoft file (FS2004/Scenery/NamC/scenery/ AP924170.bgl). Only renaming or deleting the file eliminates the bump, but thats not an option since the file contains vital data.

If someone knows what to do about it I'm all ears. PS: I am pretty sure that it is releted to FS loading data from that AP924170.bgl file the moment one crosses the bump-line.

If thats happening on "all runways" I believe its not related to this runway 4 bump, that specific bump only exists coming down runway 4, doesn't even happen from the other direction.

This is interesting....I looked into AP924170.bgl and it only contains Meigs..... Midway seems to be located on AP925160.bgl. There is a little freeware utility that allows the adjustment of the core altitude information contained on the BGL file.
I have found that sometimes the altitude on the bgls of the ad on scenery do not match the altitude on the core default airport bg file; hence making planes to either float or bump at some point in the airport.

In order for me to correct this when necesary I used a freeware utility called JABBGL. this has helped me match terrain textures with surface textures altitudes.

I suggest we look for the specif coordinates of the bumping and identify the proper bgl and compare altitudes between afcad-scenery and core bgl.

let me know your thoughts :D

josealbanez: I tried that already. This is not a case of bumps that appear after installing Fly-Midway, the bump is already there if you only install plain FS2004 with no addons at all.
