I do use VC's for GA and helos (with Track IR) .....but for airliners I prefer 2D.....well my 2D's lol

I am very much an IFR cockpit/systems virtual pilot... not a "can I take a shot of the glareshield from the footwell" pilot....I don't even look out of the cockpit window much unless I am landing or the TCAS is screaming at me.
Having said that....as you can see in this vid with sceneries as lovely as FT's I can be caught enjoying the view past minimums!

2D's also have many advantages. Take the 747-200...it has more varied cockpit configurations than any other aircraft on the planet. I can easily make them all....not so easy with a VC.
