We spent quite a bit of time over the past months getting the areas around KSEA to look correct by doing tons of mesh and "flattening" work.
I still like my idea... If it is just the lake that is weird, you can draw your own lake and layer it over the USGS lake that is shown. Of course I'm assuming that George didn't do that already, since all you've shown are pics of what happens to the default SEA.

tjsynkral: The pics I posted are not the default KSEA and drawing lakes doesn't make any difference to terrain elevation issues.

Thanks for explaining what's going on. Smoothing out the "cliffs" on the south end of the airport like it is now is really a great touch. I'm sure Allen will try and work with you for a solution, he seems to be very accomodating with issues such as these.

My guess is that the lake is being picked up by UT- and it's being forced to an elevation which is not correct? You're right it's hard to tell from the pictures you posted... is the lake not at airfield elevation? I guess it's downhill a little ways?

Martin or George,

Did the 1.1 patch from UT help with the lake problems?

Martin, what scenery are you using if not the default?

Well, in that case... I think you guys should leave it, and then post some flatten coordinates for UT users if they would prefer to flatten the bug out. It's nice that you can add flatten rules to scenery.cfg without editing the scenery itself.

@B777ER. I just tried the 1.1 patch. It made it even worst with or without fly Seattle.

I'll be submitting a bug to them soon. I've noticed a few other serious problems a few miles from KSEA.

Awesome! Any updated time frame of the KSEA release? Or is it still Summer 2005...

Same release time as before: When it's good and ready. :P

George and Martin's standards are even higher than ours, and that is a good thing. Of course I'm sure they're as anxious to start selling this scenery as we are to buy it.
