REALISTIC Dubai AFCAD
REALISTIC Dubai AFCAD
This Afcad presents you with CURRENT Dubai airport AS REAL AS IT GETS!
Of course, some adjustments have been made to fit the FS2004 limitations.
Features:
- runway 12R starting position has been moved to its real life location - K3-K4-K5 taxiways
- runway 12R staring location for aircraft taxiing for take off from the remote stands AS PER REAL LIFE starts at K1 with further taxi on 12R until the take off position at K5
- cargo ramp moved to E gates - Dubai Cargo City and Free Zone
- Dubai air Wing, which is the dominant user of the VIP terminal moved to H gates
- other Business Jet aircraft are put as per their real life location (ATTENTION: all Business Jet aircraft as per Alpha-India standard use BBJ or BBJ0 or BBJ1 code!!!)
- Emirates Airline use Terminal 3 + AS PER REAL LIFE - half of the Terminal 1 + some of the C Parking stands + runway-facing stands of the Terminal 3 Concourse 3 (The whole concourse is due to be opened early 2013, currently under final phase of construction).
- Emirates Airline aircraft parking has been randomized evenly to T1, T3, Parking C.
- in case of heavy overflow of Emirates aircraft they will be parked at the Emirates Maintenance Facility.
- airlines' assignments are applied to T3 and T2 only. T1, which houses most of the international airlines is intentionally left empty due to constant change of Airlines and their parking positions at DXB.
- all of the Gates and Parkings at T1, T2 and T3 have been given the same size to further randomize the flow of traffic and distribute the airlines evenly at their parking spots (again due to FS2004 afcad limitations).
Additions:
- if you have runway elevation problems, please do not forget to use THIS FIX

Re: My REALISTIC Dubai AFCAD
Wow, that looks good. Is thee a way to have this converted to work in FSX?
Re: My REALISTIC Dubai AFCAD
Where do you instal this file?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Into your FlyTampa-Dubai\Scenery folder.rjones wrote:Where do you instal this file?
You already have the original afcad there (OMDB_ADE9_FLYTAMPA.BGL), which will be overwritten, so you had better make a backup copy of of the original in case you don't like the new one.
Re: REALISTIC Dubai AFCAD
Hi Rafal.
Thx for your efforts. I just wanted to ask the same question as Skypara: Will this work in FSX? If not, is there a way to convert it so it works in FSX?
Thanks in advance,
Tom.

second - WHO IS RAFAL??????
Re: REALISTIC Dubai AFCAD
First of all: LOOL!
Second: My appologies to you, mate. For some reason I put it into my head that Rafal was the original poster! I'm probably too tired! So again, sorry about that.
Third: thanks for your reply.
and last but not least: (cheeky question!) any chance you would be able to do all this for FSX? If not, no problem.
Anyway, thanks again.
